Cumartesi sabahı. Sabah erkenden kalktım, duşumu aldım, kahvaltımı yaptım, sıradan bir gün gibi başlamıştı o Cumartesi sabahı da.

Önce bunu sıradışı bir doğa olayı sandım. Daha demin hemen arkamda olan anneme döndüm ve tam konuşacakken annemin orda olmadığını farkettim. Tanımadığım bir adam vardı arkamda. Turuncu saçları vardı. Hatta turuncu kaşları ve bıyıkları vardı, boya olduklarına yemin edebilirdim…
Korkmuştum. Daha küçücük bir çocuktum ve bahçemde tanımadığım bir adam vardı.
O an vücudumda inanılmaz bir acı hissettim. Yukarıdan gelen silindir gibi ışık benim canımı yakıyordu. Bu bir doğal olayı değildi, olamazdı… tam o sırada turuncu adamdan o sesleri duydum…

Gerisini duyamamıştım, yukarıdan gelen ışığın sesleri ve benim çığlıklarımın arasında kaybolmuştu, hem kendisi hem de sesi.
Son çabalarımla kurtulmaya çalışırken bir anda kendimi evin içinde buldum… ışınlanmıştım resmen. Şok içerisinde aynaya baktım, bir canavara benziyordum. Ölmemem bir mucizeydi.
Ama herkes beni bu halde görse ben yaşayamazdım… Babamın gardrobuna koştum. İlk gördüğüm en büyük kıyafeti alıp onu bana sardım. Okul projemden kalan maskemi taktım o anlık, yakında daha iyi bir maskeye ihtiyacım olacaktı. Burada olanların bir travma olarak kafamda kalmasına izin vermemeliydim. Evden kaçtım. Koşabildiğim kadar uzağa koştum. Yeni bir hayata başladım. Kimseye bahsetmedim. İçime sakladım. Ama içime sakladığım tek şey olan olaylar değildi, gerçek yüzümü de bir daha göstermemeye yemin ettim.
