Definitely not Western Teams, the LPL & LCK are still better.

Well whatever it is, hopefully it will be more regional LAN tournaments for every region which then act as the qualifier for the International LAN. That is if the pandemic situation on each region is getting better.

Probably the best English co stream.

GGs, VS went from the group of death to push Gambit on the Brink at playoffs that really takes some energy.

100+ ping drama incoming for sure

Probably just some people like Olofboost who likes to disrespecting the JP community in this website.

Bad take, that makes her became useless.

We have seen it in League of Legends which is another title from Riot, it will be no suprise if Korea will dominating the scene at some point in the future and the whole EU vs NA will be like a past tale of the early days in Valorant esports history.

because back in 2004, Valve decided to charge 15 dollars per month for every single PC in a PC Bangs in South Korea. Consequently, the whole Valve games competitive scene was dead overnight.

VS is playing Valorant, while Acend just playing CS with superpowers

This is the best take on VLR no cap!

It's just not as interesting as his Iceland watch party, plus Kyadae's watch party with Carlos (G2 Owner) as the guest is just something you don't see everyday.

  1. ZETA Division (Laz is an inspirational figure and role model both in skills & personality as a player and the bonds that he shared with his teammates is what made them became such good friends thay plays video games for a long time).

Kishi-san energy when he cast is always a treat for hyping the match.

you must be new to esports if you still get offended by a Banter

Seki-san (stylishnoob4) really loves by the Japanese gaming community in general and he loves JP Valo community as well.

posted about 2 years ago

its basically Japanese VALORANT fanbase in general, no blaming anything, only congratulate and thank both teams for playing the match.

posted about 2 years ago

vouch, this is the reason why CS is getting stale and boring because it's only involving around 2 regions hence made the game dead in other region.

posted about 2 years ago

Well esports or competitive scene is not Valve major priority since they have their Steam platform that made more revenue than just managing a video game competitive community.

Some said that there are many factors to it, the rise of PC gaming in FPS title and esports culture in general during the pandemic are some of them I believe.

basically Westerners tend to like more with realistic style than Asia.

don't forget the amount of "WWWWWWWW" when a funny moment happen.

I remember it was like 20k peak viewers back in VCT JP stage 1 especially when Jupiter (now ZETA) plays, now you easily get a stable 25k-30k minimum live viewers during stage 3 even without ZETA or CR playing the game and peak is at 162k total (including co-streams). Even Youtube stream were usually peak at 10k, now 10k is the minimum while the peak is at 30k-40k viewers.

not as popular as CrossFire which it has more players than CS

LoL Worlds 2021 moved from China to Europe was definetly the sign that the rest of Riot Games Global LAN events this year would be all held in Europe due to Covid restriction.

Maybe its going to be like GAM esports from Vietnam back at msi 2021 where they couldn't come to Iceland because of travel restriction thus making their group only consist of 3 teams instead of 4 teams.

It's mostly EU & NA with some Brazillian fans so far. Most KR, JP, & SEA folks I see so far are still chillin. But yeah, I'm sure that most of these fans are still kids/teenagers.

posted about 2 years ago

True, I would love to see other regions step up and then bring the upsets to the tournament so it will not always going to be about EU vs NA all the time.

Stop spamming

posted about 2 years ago

Group A can still be a group of death if only Envy swap with Acend instead. So it will be KR 1, SEA 2, NA 3, EMEA 3

posted about 2 years ago

Maybe it has something to do with how esports culture are still accepted very differently in both region. KR is already an established region in terms of its esports industry while JP is still growing where the society is still very sceptical about having professional gaming as a Career in general.

yep, Typical braindead Westerner fans I supposed.

posted about 2 years ago

They are lowkey a sleeping giant from Asia, Riot just need a way to how to make the game became popular there just like League of Legends and we can probably see their domination on the global scene with more World Champion title than NA or EU could ever had in the future since they have Billions of population means the talent pool came from there has a huge potentials.

The true SEA Superteam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia represents in Berlin.

posted about 2 years ago

Those regions should proof they got what it takes first at LCQ. If they still get clapped by Korean team, then they are not worthy yet.

posted about 2 years ago

Well if its only include the West then yes NA with Sentinels and 100T hard carry Valorant viewership. But in Asia recently, Japanese viewership number is also on the rise where nowadays the average viewership could be around 40k to 50k+ (including official watch parties) live viewers during the JP stage 3 playoff which is huge compare to the viewerships during stage 1 & 2.

posted about 2 years ago
