I am asking this because of the gap in quality in T2, specifically GF. I'll take JP vs SEA as an example.
VCL SEA Split 2's GF handled super poorly, with only online match and a shitty broadcast. We can't even WP because of SOOP restrictions.
Compared to VCL JP Split 2, they even have Offline Stages for Semis + the GF, with production quality that rivals even T1 events.
Considering their respective regions' performance in Tier 1, with 2 SEA teams going to Toronto, and both JP teams not even qualifying for the playoffs, I conclude that the problem is in the funding (and maybe logistics), not in regional performance.
SEA had to partner with SOOP, I guess, because of the offer that they couldn't resist. I am wondering how shitty must the financial situation be that they were forced to sign the partnership? Or is this simply a matter of RIOT playing favorites (Because JP generated more money)?
