His point is everybody is evolving quite significantly, except maybe PRX and TS. The only proven team I'd say is GenG atm. There are too many unknown factors.

5. Sentinels (Super unlikely but what other team has a Square base logo)

I hope they try honestly. They need to prove they can compete in an actual VCT bubble, so even if the team got stomped, at least we can measure how good each of the players is, and whether they are VCT-worthy yet.

I believe the "unfair opportunities" problem exists, but IMO only to a certain degree. If I'm a team owner/coach and find a super-talented player, I wouldn't miss the chance to sign them whatever gender identity they are.

I get your point, as an org I also would think teams like SR or G2 Gozen's main goal would be winning GCC, as it's more realistic, profitable, and "prestigious" (Winning GCC arguably will get you more clout than Qualifying for T2, even if the latter is more competitive and high-level)

But IMO that shouldn't be the case. A team's priority should be to compete at the highest level. We (or Riot) should make GCC primarily as a way for "less privileged" players to get fair chances so they can compete at a higher level aka T2. The development league shouldn't be more prestigious than the actual pro league. If not, teams would rather farm GC as it's easier and the money's better.

Oh yeah good point, The F2 drivers usually leave their old team after winning/are part of a team already.

We can let the org stay but make them release their roster, but I think that will make the players' careers uncertain.

They can still compete as a stack but the funding would be lower. But if we wanna talk about fairness, that's the situation for many other teams that compete in OQ/Premier

They should compete like all other players and have to go through open quals like all other players.

This is precisely what I meant. GC has already given them enough chances, so I feel it's unfair for them to keep competing in it. They should compete like everyone else.

My point was that the GCC-winning team should be "facilitated" to go to the Next Level, to achieve more than Game Changers Championship. Think of it as exiting the kiddie pool, or removing the third wheel from a bicycle. They've got their exposure, and they've received relatively fair chances, so what other things do they need? They should compete like all other players. Shouldn't their goal be playing at the highest level? not just being big fish in a small tank.

Sometimes the hand of fate must be forced.
