Was looking through the participants in the next NSG Winter tournaments and it says that the LATAM team 'Border Monsters' is playing in the event
Source: https://battlefy.com/nerd-street-gamers/valorant-online-open-6-nerd-street-winter-champs/614b62961db4c678782a0e65/participants

Personally, I'm for it, because it would be really cool to see teams like Infinity, Six Karma, and Lazer play in these events
I'm just not sure if this is technically allowed, since the only countries allowed to participate are the US, Canada, and Mexico

(Btw, I checked the roster and they don't have a Mexican player, so unless they are bootcamping, I don't think they can be registered)

Go back 10 months and sign entire Moon Racoons roster + potter (as a coach)
Eventually replace FIEND with Boostio/Thief and Rebo with stellar

Team:
ALEKSANDER
Temperature
Pr0phie
Stellar
Boostio/Thief

Most pros VOD review themselves to learn from their mistakes

But I think I might get what u were trying to say, that being which pro is the most egotistical

I think a lot of people like LG
They just aren’t notable enough for people to dedicate their flair to them though

It’s only a bo5 if the teams each win their own map pick, their “home ground”

If a team wins both their map pick and the other teams map pick, they automatically win the series 2-0

posted about 2 years ago

If I’m not mistaken, I don’t think it can be a 3-0 since it’s like the previous homegrounds
Would have to be a 2-0 instead

posted about 2 years ago

Who do you think Gen.G should pickup during the off season?

Like you said, GMD and Nature are definitely some of the best support players in NA, but I still don't see Gen.G, in its current state, being top 5 team. Maybe new talent could elevate the team enough for them to qualify for LANS?

posted about 2 years ago

True, T1 are already a fan favorite in NA and they might as well keep their roster, seeing as they've already sunk so much money into it

Just showing reasons why they could think about hopping regions, especially with franchising potentially being more expensive in NA

posted about 2 years ago

Both T1 and Gen.G haven't really achieved much in NA so far:
Gen.G - Consistently a top 8 team; however, not much more (never really saw them qualifying for LANS)
T1 - have spent millions in NA yet still have an unsuccessful roster

These orgs might technically have a better team in NA/EU, but at the end of the day, it's a business

What they really want is to make it to that international stage in order to be viewed by as many people as possible (for sponsors)
It's a lot easier to make it to said world stage when you are only competing against 2-4 good teams, rather than 12-16 in the NA/EU scene

posted about 2 years ago

With NiP looking towards building a roster in Brazil, do we think that other EU/NA orgs will potentially swap to less competitive regions in order to get a better chance of qualifying for big events like Masters/Champions?

Examples:
Gen.G --> KR
IMT --> BR (mibr)
T1 --> KR
FPX --> CN
RNG --> OCE
TSM --> JP/BR/India (just imagine)

might be time for an IGL change tbh

this post hit a nerve

dude even said that JP shouldn't have a slot (he 100% didn't watch the LCQ or the CR vs Gambit game)

posted about 2 years ago

You didn't rate Fnatic or Acend

As well, idc if you believe that Liquid are better than VS, but putting VS in B tier with the argument that they haven't proven anything yet while Liquid are in A tier who quote "Look strong, still need to prove themselves internationally" is contradictory

Also if 2-0ing Acend (13-7, 13-9) and taking a map of the best team in the world isn't proving something, I don't know what is

posted about 2 years ago

Not the two players I expected to get dropped 🤔
Maybe they are going to DK along with Esperanza

posted about 2 years ago

FS vs any team (other than X10/TS) should be an interesting match imo

posted about 2 years ago

If SEN don’t step up their game for Champions, I could 100% see Liquid beating them in Quarterfinals

Mine:

You know pools and groups aren’t the same thing, right?

posted about 2 years ago

True, but you could assign seeds 1-4 for each group

examples:

Pool A:
Master's 3 Winner - 1
EMEA 1 - 2
EMEA 2 - 3
EMEA LCQ - 4

Pool B:
NA 1 - 1
KR 1 - 2
NA 2 - 3
NA LCQ - 4

Groups would then only have one of each seed
Pools make it so we don't get something like NA vs NA and seeds make it so we don't get something like Master's 3 Winner vs NA 1

posted about 2 years ago

Personally, I'd rather see Riot do pools like this since it makes sure we get actual international play (unlike putting SMB and ACE in the same group)

Pool A:
Master’s 3 Winner
EMEA 1
EMEA 2
EMEA LCQ

Pool B:
NA 1
KR 1
NA 2
NA LCQ

Pool C:
BR 1
LATAM 1
BR 2
SA LCQ

Pool D:
SEA 1
JP 1
SEA 2
APAC LCQ

posted about 2 years ago

made the template with C9 before the match even ended ;)

posted about 2 years ago

Now that the NA LCQ is over, we can finally make a tierlist with all 16 teams:

Btw, you can either upload with lightshot/imgur or log in to save your tierlist
