all I’m saying is that Bazzi didn’t do that bad and is more flexible then Wronski. Might be worth keeping him in the main roster

I don’t see Riot giving CN less slots for Champions then they got for Masters

posted about a year ago

It's a possibility, but I doubt it. Since NA Challengers officially end on June 10, Riot would have to fit the Ascension tournament and the LCQ, which are both LANs, into a less than 2 month period (Champions starts on August 6), while giving the teams participating at least a 1-2 week break between VCLs, Ascension, and then the LCQ like they normally do. It's possible, but seems unlikely knowing Riot and how much they like to space out their events.

Confirmed
Top 3 American teams from league qualify
Top 3 Pacific teams from league qualify
Top 3 EMEA teams from league qualify

Speculation
The 2 Chinese teams from Tokyo qualify for Champions too
The winner of Tokyo grants their region's LCQ an extra slot, so each LCQ has 1 slot except for the region that wins Masters, who will have 2
The rumored Summer league in China (separate from the FGC tournaments) acts as an LCQ tournament, granting 1 slot

Final slot allocation:
4 Americas
4 Pacific
4 EMEA
3 CN
+1 to the region that wins Tokyo

come back to this when I'm right

The SA orgs prefer players who can speak English and are cheap. The Philippines and Oceania lack org support at the moment so they’re willing to sign any decent contract they get.

Americas orgs are acting more like how I expected the Pacific orgs to act. You have EG and SEN doing some sketchy shit behind the scenes, C9's upper management imploding their roster after 2 games and trialing not even T2 players, and now KRU dropping xand and keeping nagzet (it's gotta be nepotism at this point, right?)

I wonder how Riot is handling this cause I think a few orgs definitely need to get a slap on the wrist like RRQ did

GENG and TLN shockingly upset DRX during the round robin stage but DRX still qualifies 1st
TS falls off from what people expect from them
T1 end up qualifying for playoffs

posted about a year ago

I know they're a prominent org but I don't watch PUBG in all honesty. I put them low just because if the league only has 10-12 slots, I think Riot will prioritize orgs that have some kind of pre-existing investment in their games, especially the LPL orgs + NOVA/JT.

Looking back I should have at least given them better odds than Tyloo though for sure.

posted about a year ago

Well now that CN are confirmed to get Masters slots, I'd say it's pretty inevitable for them to get their own league. So what orgs do you guys think get partnered? My confidence in each org getting partnered would be:

EDward Gaming - 100%
FunPlus Phoenix - 100%
Royal Never Give Up - 100%
Bilibili Gaming - 100%
Rare Atom - 100%
Invictus Gaming - 100%
J Team - 80%
NOVA Esports - 50%
Tyloo - 50%
NewHappy - 20%
Four Angry Men - 20%

Also how many slots do we think CN will get? Will they get the LPL treatment with 2x the slots of other regions?

KR, TH, and ID all have deep talent pools too make at least 2-3 good teams
PH and JP have less talent but could make 1-2 solid teams
SG has some really good star players but barely enough talent to make a full team
VN is just FCY + crazyguy
MY and HK/TW are kind of irrelevant in Valorant
No comment on India until I see the VCL

posted about a year ago

bruh we have 3 slots in total so 2/3 isn't bad. JP and SEA both also have a 'wasted' slot in that regard to be fair in the form of DFM and RRQ but nobody ever complains about their slots.

also don't act like EDG wouldn't have steamrolled their way through the APAC LCQ too

Didn't happen, so this is a strawman argument.

Go back and watch the episode. When they placed 100T, Sideshow said that they actually should be bottom of A. When LEV were getting rated, Mimi said that they should be above DRX. So yes, it did happen.

I have so many questions but glad I can hear them say that "100T will be good with time" for the 100th time.
They never said that

Once again, yes they did. Go back and listen to Mimi talk about 100 Thieves.

posted about a year ago

yeah I could see direction where he was at least trying to go with the upper tiers, even if I disagree, but from A-B it looks like the teams were randomized

Genuinely might be their worst yet: https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/11m3f54/platchat_post_lock_in_tierlist/

They place NRG and NAVI in S tier but say DRX is only A tier because they dropped maps to other teams.
Didn't NRG literally drop a map to GIA and nearly drop a map to a less than 1 month old KOI or am I going crazy?
Is going 2-3 against LOUD not worth anything too?
Even if you think NAVI and NRG are better than DRX, you have to admit that the 5 teams are all a similar level.

Also how is TLN and FUR counted as B tier teams when they played so much better than LEV who is in A tier. Both looked much better than VIT who ended up above them too.
Lastly, how do you advocate for LEV to be put above DRX and almost put 100T in the same tier as them?

I have so many questions but glad I can hear them say that "100T will be good with time" for the 100th time.
