I hate to admit it but EG wasn’t the best team in 2023. It was FNC and it’s not very close. Also SEN probably wasn’t the best team in 2021 cause Gambit was insane but SEN was the best by far in Reykjavik.

I like Swiss for masters and groups for champs. It feels better than the weird ass groups that they were doing in previous years at 12 team tournaments with 4 auto advancing. When no one auto advances it’s good like in champs.

Rest of the games are now for seeding and prize money. Seeding is assuming riot uses previous years seeding for champs of each group has no one else from same region and each group is seed 1 from region 2, 3, 4, all from different regions.

If I could it would be a even in the summer where it’s fully open bracket so anyone can sign up with qualifiers online up till top 32 which then starts double elim till there is 8 teams (at this point it would become a LAN) who will qualify for the event then continue for placements. After all regions are completed the big event would be held of 64 teams with 16 groups and standard champs group stage till there is 32 teams with double elimination. In top 5 every game is BO5 and Grandfinals is Every map and depending on how many maps are in the game it would be majority. (If there’s an even number whoever is in upper bracket would get to ban a map.)
Disclaimer. Teams can stay together from franchising or T2 but also make new teams for it, similar to Premier where they have a team captain or IGL who invites others to play for this team and they make their roster.
