I totally agree whit this. I was stuck in Legend playing support for almost 2 years. Then I started learning mid and carry, but eventually i choose offlane cuz i can do anything i want (bullying enemy carry = free win), I gained over 3k MMR from Legend 1 to Divine 5 just in 1 year by spamming mostly offlane, especially Mars when he first came out
It was also during COVID, so I had a lot of time to play at home xD
If you want to grind MMR in low ranks, for me it's easier to play core roles like carry, mid, or offlane, cuz they are the same level as you, just play core less team reliance.

But if you're a partnered team losing all year? "Oh, let's give them another chance, they just need time (absolute clown show).
If Riot actually cared about protecting the scene, they’d protect competitive quality, not just brands with deep pockets. Fans don't care about your business stability when half the matches are snoozefests with Tier 2/3level dogs shit clown show team that bought their way into Tier 1 and stayed there.
Pacific just exposed it the hardest because teams like NS & BOOM prove how fragile the system is when actual hungry teams show up. But the reality is simple: Riot is more scared of losing sponsor money than losing the soul of their esport.
Until they start kicking out the freeloaders and making Tier 1 something you earn, not something you buy, it’s not a competitive league it’s a corporate hobby league.
