do you not remember the talk around EG start of franchising? people were joking that they didn't realize that they made it in because they had yet to make changes while everyone else was signing big name players. they signed Ethan who was kicked off NRG in favor of the optic core, and Demon1 was like a random guy. they hadn't done shit pre-franchising and she won with that team. on top of that this year they had to scrape together some guys who would've been tier 2 and she outstrated sen and nrg. little more luck and they would've been in playoffs, and I bet they would've got top 3 as well. they were hot to end the year.
