If he performed exceptionally then maybe they keep him and the criticism to drop him would be valid however if you replace a duelist trying to adapt with a top tier controller/sentinel then it is much better especially now that yay is not confident in entrying unlike Zellsis.

Opinion:

• A lot of people including myself may troll about yay being washed because of Chamber nerfs but in reality it may be the truth.

• C9 acquired yay and gave him a lucrative contract based on his performance with pre-nerf Chamber however the scrims after the nerfs and his plays on Jett and other agents was evident that yay could not replicate the same form that got him paid in the first place as he is not comfortable without Chamber currently

TLDR: yay is an OTP and deservingly dropped for a more essential player whoever it may be.
