G2 could've closed out right here but they failed to. If your Primary Duelist plays like this in a Grand Finals Bo5 and deals with mental chokes, you think he can win another trophy like that? I doubt it.
Look at the overall stats and tell me would you rather have your Primary Duelist CARRY your team to victory, or be bottom of the list and get carried throughout the entire series.

Everyone knows how to play Ascent. Sylvan/Carpe don't know how to play Abyss with the team well enough to beat G2.
G2 undefeated on Lotus in Masters, their best map. And T1 has no idea how to play Abyss.
T1 perma ban Abyss so most likely G2 will dominate.
