it was going to be paused anyway cause t1 power outage and for however long their power was out it was going to be paused so that's not really an excuse. They played awfully after that and that whole game imo it has nothing to do with the conclusion of the game has nothing to do with the pause that game they were behind the whole time and the pause was going through regardless

where in my post did i say the fault is only on tenz...

edit: also, the argument that you can't understand how a team plays by only watching is probably the most boring and laziest response to any criticism to a team. Of course you can understand how a team plays by watching their games thoroughly this is something people say to avoid criticism and leads to 0 analysis to be done. It does not matter what the players say if they play one way and act another. If you want to be boring ->we can't analyze any team cause "muh cant know how they play" . If you want discussion ->watch their games and analyze/discuss

Obviously we can't know everything but we can definitely know enough

good player imo but hes put onto the mega support role in sentinels. Dapr allowed to be aggro attack side/lurk for kills --> Shahz sova/jett which the ladder just leads naturally to higher ACS--> Tenz duelist and allowed to do whatever he wants --> Sick Duelist/battle sage which leads to high acs = zombs support player on omen/astra playing anchor on sites not being stacked

He's good utility player and 100% frags out when needed just playing in one of those positions that doesn't allow big frags compared to the rest of his team. Other pro like this is zacharee

Tenz has a tendency to have people play towards his benefit which is detrimental to teams as a whole imo. With sinatraa this team was so much more balanced and flexible especially on haven their former best map where he was one of most dangerous sovas in the world. Now they lose haven against every team essentially.

I have a feeling that TSM is coming back into form but their Ascent is weak dropping a lot of rounds vs nobody teams they will straight up lose to GenG's Ascent no problem. I like that they are trying Astra and Skye though they are looking good

What a fucking mess holy shit. The kick from the team was well deserved considering that this harassment was going on for years? No but wtf is the NA Valorant scene right now...god forbid

posted about 3 years ago

Yes good thread have been saying this recently. The only reason FPL/Esea was a thing was because csgo match making was unbelievably bad with cheaters/horrible servers etc. If you played csgo you understood you had to go through a literal fucking gauntlet to get into FPL that basically forces you to play for more than 12 hrs a day. The FPL scene is also a shit show mess filled with unnecessary drama. People are so quick to complain about the match making but the game is so new just give it time Riot actually CARES.

Didn't read your whole post but seangares has literally criticized NA's playstyle for like months now, he has said again and again its not sustainable and although some teams will have success at first(Faze) and adoption of a more tactically style of play will come slowly to the region. I'm pretty sure Seangares is going for EU to win it

posted about 3 years ago

Nah people are too focused on stats when the problem was that a jett player just doesen't fit into 100t's system well. Pretty much all the players on 100t and t1 think he deserves to be on t1 team. He was extremely restricted on 100t and it was so obvious if you compare it to how he played on imt/early 100t, he has already a bunch of t1 offers(said it himself) but is waiting until some tournys are over. If you want a player to make an example as a good content creator but not player shanks is literally THE perfect example. Streams are funny/entertaining and he played AWFULLY on NRG

More consistent than people think

posted about 3 years ago

Why do people say this when literally every region but Korea has seen their top teams lose...In every region but Korea any team can win it because there are so many good teams. EU literally had teams play hot potato in tier 1 to decide who was best first it was Liquid ---> G2---> FPX ---> Heretics--> Acend. NA has been --->Sentinels. People have to understand that NA's top teams losing is not a sign of inconsistency but proof that the region is strong. Literally NV, 100T, SEN, and LG can all win on any given day and this is for literally every region but KR if anything SEN has proven they are one of the most consistent teams people think 1 fluke by BBG is enough to call SEN inconsistent...

posted about 3 years ago

Literally everyone thinks NV is good just not as good as 100t and Sen they always get shit on by them. Anyone that thinks these orgs would let teams troll after qualifying is dumb af.

posted about 3 years ago

I mean he has some good points we'll see though. I can see some teams getting absolutely smashed by NA's speed

posted about 3 years ago

Yes, CL/CL% in stats. I actually asked for this to be implemented on my first account and enigma added it in! Hiko has a LOT of clutches but his clutch % is not as high as Asuna's!

Going to analyze top 6 NA teams via VLR.GG rankings. Looking over every player and their style from a viewers perspective and also peak #2000 immortal POG.

Sentinels
Best NA team arguably best team in the world with only one very big problem. When SEN lose they look bad, its very obvious they have a consistency problem but in form no team in NA is close. They have the strategy of NV and 100t, the individual talent of IMT, and the aggressiveness of Faze. As a team I'd describe them as a very calculated aggression style. Shahzam said in a post game interview that Faze played a lot like they did in the Pop Flash event hence they know how to play against it. Players like Tenz and Sick open up rounds with an extreme sharp intuition where both these players know exactly when to take favorable fights and don't ever go over aggressive in a way that leaves the 'system' of the team. Shahzam is not one of the top leading Jett players and OPers in the region but also one of the top IGL's in the world right now. He has proven time and time again to not only be a dangerous OPer but also one of the best IGL's in his region the only two coming close are FNS and steel. Dapr and zombs are the rocks of team, always consistently playing well and essentially the back bone of the team. dapr fragged out at the end of the recent matches against Faze showing he can step up and zombs has been stepping up role wise by adding Astra to his pool of smokers. Their 5th although temporarily is Tenz at the end of the day it is still unknown whether Sentinels can afford 2 MILLION buy out like wtf. IMO with Sinatraa this team is better. Adding Tenz LAST SECOND without any practice at ALL, was one of the biggest disadvantages you can give to a team albeit they got Tenz, one of the best players in the world, it does not help the issue that Tenz was filling in the role of the main SOVA player on Sentinels. Even dapr and Shahzam said post game on his stream that they thought tenz could just fit in Sinatraa's roles but it didnt work and they had to adapt mid match. Also apparently Shahzam had no idea what arrows worked on Ascent vs Faze he only played Sova to let Tenz have the freedom to do what he wants. CS background team.
100 Thieves
Arguably the best NA team with a few hiccups along the way. Nitro and Ethan have quickly cemented themselves to both be the top Omen's NA and Steel has proved himself as an innovater on KJ/Cypher with a lot of metas being developed copying his play. Hiko also credited as being a great clutcher/back bone for the team that has developed himself to be one of the top sova's in the region. Seriously Hiko has clutched so many rounds for 100t that led to them coming back and winning games. Asuna....one of the best duelist in the region if not one of the best in the world, this guy is a beast. 100t have a very unique playstyle one that is very much their own. They don't play like EU nor NA, they have very interesting stats and have developed a mix of slow paced strategy with a twist. Ethan and Nitro need credit as being the most flexible players in their region being malleable enough to twist 100t's comp any which way. Once 100t develops more and has more time one wonders how much they'll be able to progress. Their weakness I'd say is starting way too slow sometimes and if their plans fall apart they really struggle. vs 100t Sick just constantly peeked them via mid/cat/b on ascent and picked them apart so they couldn't get going. CS background team.
Envy
Easily one of the most strategic teams in NA and maybe the first team have an Omen main OPing? Victor and Kaboose are one of the most insane duelist combos in NA while also being very versatile. NV also have been developing their ability to role swap and switch it up a ton. Today in Master's Victor was on Skye vs 100t(although they lost) and right now Kaboose is on Omen vs XSET on split and Crashies is on Sage. They have great potential but I find that FNS is leading, as it often leads to great victories but also one sided stomps(vs 100t today). If you don't give NV a chance to get going they crash hard and if you manage to interrupt them consistently and switch up the pace they also falter. VS any teams that are below t1 they completely dominate showing that they are 100% tier 1 and have much to develop themselves. I think that FNS leading them is a double edged sword for them. He can absolutely crush a team tactically but also if he is outplayed consistently by the enemy team its as if he can't do much. FNS is easily one of the best Sentinels in NA proving to be a thorn in many teams side by consistently lurking. Crashies is a great Sova one of the best in NA. NV has an entirely CS background which is shown in the way they play
FaZe Clan
Smeag team is best team. Seriously, Faze has risen from a bottom tier 2 team that only lost to a top tier 1 team that completely dominated a tournament except vs SEN. They have always played in this hard rush style and its very obvious in their comp they don't even run a Sentinel on most maps opting for breach instead except Ascent where Zacharee plays KJ. I really love Faze and a TON of credit has to go to their coach Faze Trippy who upon helping the team immediately led to success. Babybay in my opinion is one of the most impactful players in the world and is on par with Tenz/mwzera/cned. He is the spirit and soul of team. Marved and Corey are quite literally the perfect complements to babybay. Corey being one of the best duelist NA and marved being easily one of the most aggressive Omen's in the world, I mean this guy actually TPs into the enemy's spawn and sticks it. Zacharee needs credit as the support player and backbone to the bonehead team but also Rawkus needs credit for his ability to tame the waves and lead the team to victories by slowing the pace. This team for the most part has a OVERWATCH background(except for Marved) and it becomes really prevalent in the way they play. I'm pretty sure babybay played Crossfire longer then OW(?) which makes sense for the fast past way that he plays.
GenG
Under the leadership of gmd this team has come a long way. At one point they seemed like a team that always managed to make it to the upper brackets but fell to all the tier 1 teams. With the addition of Shawn they have begun to be a threat to top teams. This guy is given freedom to wreck havoc on the enemy while the rest of the team falls under a very nice system. Huynh is easily one of the craziest jett's in the NA region(when hes not whiffing easy shots). Koosta is a very young and clutch player for them and Mkael is the consistent Sova they need. They had a great showing recently and with a consistent steady style they are becoming extremely deadly. (CS background)
XSET
XSET is probably one of my favorite dark horse teams. They have the most "EU" playstyle except for 100t sometimes in NA. Ayrin and WeDid are the best combo in NA in terms of flexibility, both of them can play duelist, controller, and be great at it. WeDid is THE most flexible player in the region, on his player page he has played: Controller(Omen, Astra, Viper), Duelist(Phoenix), Initiator(Skye), and Sentinel(Sova), this guy can literally play anything and is only a few agents away from playing every agent in a match. thwifo is probably i'd say the most impactful player in the team although playing KJ and Cypher mainly finds himself getting multikills when it matters and knows exactly when to be aggressive/passive, he is also a great leader for the team. Purer is a up and coming Jett player in region yet to really come fully in form but its also hard to compare when you have players like babybay/Tenz in your region to compare. BCJ is one of the top grinder's on the ladder and also has a reputation to be one of the best Sova players in the region. This team has the most varied background in NA with experience in Fortnite, Apex, Battalion, and CSmakinguptheteam

Close match so far! V1 had an interesting economy strategy the first half. They half bought their gun round so they could create a stable economy to buy guns under.

EDIT: Crashies is insane with that 1v3, Zellsis is insane, and Victor(formally food) is insane NV seem to have the edge

i love rebo he had a great system under MR but he is statistically the worse player in NA rn. He had a chance on ANDBOX they give a top tier roster to control and honestly he blew it. I understand he's an igl and not supposed to frag really but his ACS is nothing but horrible, I'm sure he would have done better if they gave him the time because I feel hes the type that needs the roster to cement in before they start becoming extremely dangerous. Rebo is one of the best igl's out rn but they need to give him time with a roster again so I'd say he should pick up players again and start fresh I have faith in him.

banger match, people are underestimating V1 when they have a very similar style to NV

WGS had split in the bag but got way to laidback. They were winning rounds using Astra+Yoru and keeping mid in check but VS never got hesitant and played their game even down 1 round. Their tactical prowess slowly overwhelmed WGS and after WGS lost their lead it seemed as if they totally forgot the reason they were ahead on split in the first place(their aggression). Haven was a wash after a the first gun round in the second half and the clutch from k1ng sealed the deal instantly.

Because Faze Clan is actually close with their players and would not kick someone just to save face as a big org

XSET has so much versatility in their roster, interesting roster I look forward to watch in the future.

he actually had a pretty good system under MR and they were playing insane for an unsigned team. BOX signing was so bad, hes definitely not the fit they needed.

posted about 3 years ago

Heretics and FPX are much scarier teams to NA imo. The strategical style is something NA lacks at and they usually get by with really good teamwork and good gunplay. Acned actually fit more into the NA scene in terms of playstyle but also aren't all the way not strategical from what I've seen. Anyways SEN would probably demolish them 3-0 as they did Faze while Heretics and FPX would be much more interesting to see. Sentinels have mastered what Faze does but also can play slower and with better teamwork. Sentinels can both be fast as fuck aim dueling everything but be slow and pick apart people. Shahz's post-match interview he himself said that in the Pop Flash event they played exactly like Faze so they knew what to do against it and it shows that they arent one-trick ponies, they are evolving and getting better.

Will do for NA don't know other regions as well. Also, doing more than three.

Jett: Tenz, Babybay, Kehmicals, Spyder, and Wardell(Huynh on a good day too) - NA actually has few very good Jetts compared to other duelist mains
Raze: Asuna, Sinatraa, Shawn, Kehmicals, Relyks and Android - All of these guys play vastly differently some being very good with her utility like Relyks others just being aim gods like Shawn and Kehmicals
Phoenix: SicK, food, ANDRIOD and Shawn - SicK towers above the rest of the mains here but food and Shawn are still beast. I'd love to include Drone because his performances recently have not been so great partly due to TSM's bigger problems.
Reyna: Sh0t_up and thief - Disgusting players that get multi-kills after multi-kills and either one can drop 30 in any game against any team.
Yoru: nobody plays Yoru in this region
Omen: Subroza, s0m, Marved, and Nitr0/Ethan - Nothing to say much here, nitr0 is probably more than likely still a good Omen but its also interesting to see his flexibility on 100t(probably one of the most flexible players in the region). Also, I've said it before but mummAy has no place being in the controller role and z0mbs although having bad stats is still probably one of the best Omen's that know how to work with the team. Wedid will also be one of the best in this region one day.
Brimstone: supamen and all the good Omen players but recently Brim has been abandoned in NA
Viper: Poach and WeDid - Very underrated agent in this region only used on Split. Poach did very well with it on ANDBOX but WeDid is coming to his own with the agent.
Astra: nothing here yet but I have a feeling 100t or NV will show us somethign soon
Sova: sinatraa, BcJ, Hiko, and Crashies - sinatraa is the best with BcJ coming in a close second.
Breach: nitr0, Skadoodle, and Sh0t_up - Don't know how the latter two duelist mains ended up on Breach but their very good nonetheless
Skye: Crashies and Roza but NA has still yet to use Skye as effectively as Korea IMO.
Sage: SicK, food, and nitr0(stellar on a good day) - nothing to say much except that a resurgence has come in Sage use after Sentinels and 100t use of them.
Killjoy: steel, mitch, dapr, PLAYER1, and Hazed - very different playstyles again, steel being an innovator with the utility on this agent but dapr, Hazed, and PLAYER1 are just well rounded Sentinel mains
Cypher: curry, KOLER, dapr, NaturE, Steel, koosta, aproto, and PLAYER1 - the first two are great but imo need to be put on duelist asap(sgares commented on this), the best Sentinel players in the region are by far Dapr and Steel with the latter three in this list being up and coming/underrated mains

I didn't include any tier 2/3 teams that don't play tier 1 team consistently

I thought steel igled on 100 thieves?

Luminosity is so hit or miss, maybe it's just Ascent but their strats are so 50/50 imo. I had Sen winning before the incident I only see the last-second sub in as a problem vs the top-tier teams like Envy/100t/Faze. When games get closer and drawn out they won't be able to play off each other as easily if they had their 5th. Yes, Tenz is one of the best players in NA rn but so was sinatraa and sinatraa played a totally different role than the one Tenz is playing rn.

posted about 3 years ago

This is a 50/50 match imo, surprised people are so confident in either team. Not sure on this one
