The stats say it's actually the opposite.

posted 7 months ago

Technically EMEA would be 3 continents. Middle East is Asia.

posted 7 months ago

MENA being included is fine, they're a small population and they do produce some players.

You clearly know jack shit seeing as you were claiming EU was over a billion.

You also don't factor in other things like that NA shifted almost entirely to Valorant while Brazil and EU still actively play CS to a much larger extent.

posted 7 months ago

The only similarity between BR and NA is the amount of shootings tbh.

posted 7 months ago

Yes because I'm going to mention Honduras and Panama when Mexico is 85% of the population of central America. Also they do produce a lot of players, just not many at the higher level.

posted 7 months ago

Honestly the only big EMEA nation that isn't EU is Turkey.

I'd wager we have more Brazilians in Europe than in USA ngl. Loads of them have dual Portuguese or Italian passports then use it for all of Schengen.

posted 7 months ago

We'd count Africa if they actually produced players. Mexico, Colombia, Argentina all produce players.

You clearly failed geography anyway if you think EU is over 1 billion, were 700-750k and that's with Turkey included for some insane reason.

posted 7 months ago

How brain-dead are you. Americas is way way higher population than EMEA. South America, Central America and North America is well over a billion. Europe isn't even a billion.

I'm not sure if you're aware but Brazil, USA and Mexico alone would already match Europe in population.

posted 7 months ago

Literally everyone in NA didd for all of 2021 and most of 2022. You morons were even saying it after Tokyo.

If you need BR and LATAM to prop up your region it just shows your insecurity.

Val is the only game I've ever seen include BR and NA together.

Best Duelist: Aspas has cemented himself here imo
Best IGL: Boaster/Saadhak, I think that's pretty clear
Best Initiator: Leo/Ethan although Cauanzin has been really good at champs, C0M's decent too
Best Sentinel: Alfajer but if he slips even slightly Less is catching up
Best Controller: Mindfreak dude throws himself around like a duelist when necessary
Best Flex: Forsaken, not even a debate
Best Rookie: Demon1 or Something
Best Team: Fnatic if were talking about the year, if this tournament clearly PRX

posted 7 months ago

Asians are generally on the shorter side.

posted 7 months ago

Literally won both pistol rounds on Bind and Pearl and converted yet still couldn't win out rifle rounds.

LOUD managed to go toe to toe in rifle rounds.

posted 7 months ago

In all fairness Ethan did well on the first 2 maps. The Yoru just didn't pay off on map 3.

posted 7 months ago

I feel like he's only underwhelming because his team is cracked. Only so many kills to go round. He's already doing a good job if he's getting killed instead of a teammate because anyone on that team can multifrag reliably.

posted 7 months ago

Honestly whoever wins today is probably taking EG out. LOUD looking very good against PRX and if Fnatic get it together to take out LOUD they're gunna be taking EG down too.

posted 7 months ago

Tbf hard to pop off when forsaken, mindfreak and Davai have decided they're going to pop off. Only so many kills to go round.

posted 7 months ago

Did you make this or is it stolen?

posted 7 months ago

I feel like PRX have been a bit better on the rifle rounds overall. EG have won 5/6 pistol rounds this series. In terms of clutch rates I think it's pretty even between C0M, Ethan, Davai, mindfreak and forsaken

posted 7 months ago

Pretty much the opposite for EMEA it's 11PM or later for the entire region on a Thursday. Probably only be able to watch map 1 otherwise I'll be dead for work tomorrow.

posted 7 months ago

Of course he ain't like that. He's not been on stage for 2 years

posted 7 months ago

True but his opponents are normally holding angles, I don't know many teams that push you that much and are always moving towards you trying to take that fight.

I find it extremely common for players that farm normal players to struggle against aggressive players just because of unpredictable movement.

I was literally predicting him to struggle with PRX because they just play so abnormally.

posted 7 months ago

Ethan was off but Demon was straight getting diffed.

posted 7 months ago

C0M lifegame and PRX giving away free kills on defence.

posted 7 months ago

The casters going crazy over a very standard timing shot. You can tell they're trying to keep hype up considering it's been a bit of a snooze other than C0M clutches

posted 7 months ago

PRX have the best bind in the world. It's literally their iconic map.

I can't see anyone going from not playing a map to dethroning the world top team of that map.

posted 7 months ago

PRX already got 5 on attack on EGs map pick. Definitely looking like a 2-0 is on the cards.

PRX got that bind pocket ace

posted 7 months ago

The amount of times NA have said PRX gunna get countered and I have yet to see PRX even look challenged by anyone other than LOUD this tournament.

posted 7 months ago

Definitely the best NA duelist atm. Similar to peak Yay Jett. Ethan is so much more value as a player tho.

I still don't think he's necessarily better than cNed or Derke tho. Both have been mad consistent for years while Demon1 only really been around this year.

posted 7 months ago

Nah this is way better than having power creep from everything being buffed.

posted 7 months ago

I miss Babybay. For some reason he's the only player I've ever enjoyed in Valorant shittalking people. Everyone else is so cringe or just really picks terrible moments/targets.

posted 7 months ago

I feel like that's only interesting If you followed the leagues. I think the majority of people likely only follow the international LANs.

posted 7 months ago

As I said. I'm not focusing on it from this year specifically. I don't see the point when I've been watching longer than that, feels like an artificial boundary.

Honestly I think PRX has my favourite storyline because they've been trying for this so long and with Jingg going they may not get another chance.

Regardless whichever team wins is going to make history doing the 1st defence, threepeat or regional win of Champs. I just don't find EGs as interesting as the others. People can have different tastes.

posted 7 months ago

Literally don't care about the gender of a player or coach.

Yeah grinding from nothing to top is good but realistically every team left has. PRX was clowned on in early Val, Fnatic was considered the fluke team of EMEA alongside Liquid and LOUD was laughed at after Reykjavik 1 when all the BR teams bombed out.

I find EGs story only interesting if you've started following Val this year. If you started in 2022 or earlier I think the other storylines are better. I've seen every team left get clowned on for flopped, choking or being shit at various periods and now is their chance to get their crowning achievement.

Honestly a defended title, threepeat or Pacific 1st title sounds better to me than NA 3rd title but finally a champs.

posted 7 months ago

Honestly EG is the most boring of those storylines. It's why I find it hard to care. PRX, LOUD and Fnatic all have banging storylines though so maybe that's why. Just a comparison factor.

posted 7 months ago

Do you genuinely think he's a 1 trick Jett?

I think Jett is his best duelist but he's clearly not a 1 trick.

posted 7 months ago

Definitely a coin flip but I do think the 3 day break favours Fnatic. LOUD started a bit shaky like the previous tournaments but started hitting their champs 2022 form towards the end. They may cool off just a little.

Fnatic started similarly a bit poor but towards the midpoint of the DRX match they started looking like what we've expected from that team this year. They may also have reset but their starting position has looked better than LOUDs this year.

Still 50/50 tho as I reckon that break will be minimal for both teams. They're professionals after all.

posted 7 months ago

I imagine Aspas would work well on Reyna and Phoenix. I think he just doesn't find the mobility in Neon and Raze's kits as intuitive as he does Jett.

posted 7 months ago

Of course the Aussie says that. I'm fucking terrified of Whitetails if I ever visit your little slice of hell.

posted 7 months ago

Unironically terrible take. Insects in general are reduced in numbers, we need way way more of them.

posted 7 months ago

Nah probably PRX 2-0 and for the other one FNC 2-1 copium.

posted 7 months ago

Slough and Stoke are honourable mentions. Theyre just poor rather than awful.

posted 7 months ago

He was good yes but it wasn't until ENVY organised entirely around their Jett player that they took down SEN. I still remember that masters split game where Yay dropped ungodly stats, but his team was doing so much to set him up. It was a solid gameplay and it worked.

posted 7 months ago

Unironically better at midrounding too. Nitr0 has always been best at on the fly decisions over set pieces.

posted 7 months ago

People keep saying this but I honestly dont think it's a sure thing.

Yay was dominant as Jett and Chamber but both were with Jett and Chamber being the meta duelist and his team was built around him.

Ardiis has consistently performed in teams not built heavily around him as multiple duelist agents. Yeah he's not hit the same heights as Yay but you know he isn't going to come out of the gates cold which could happen to Yay seeing as he's been out of decent competition for over half a year.

posted 7 months ago

Demographics, Crime, Cost of Living, Terrible Attitudes, Terrible Accents. In the case of Bournemouth regional animosity and Bristol is just a political embarrassment to the nation.

posted 7 months ago

Liquid, KOI, NaVI, Giants.

Karmine did about as I'd expect.

posted 8 months ago

Birmingham, London, Bristol, Bradford, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Bournemouth, Coventry, Glasgow.

I think I've been comprehensive enough.

posted 8 months ago

Individually yeah but I don't think many have ever played with each other and Shao isn't a proven IGL

posted 8 months ago

I've said this multiple times, but NA only seems to claim LOUD when they won. Odds are people will cheer Fnatic then pretend they supported their fellow "Americas" team afterwards.
