It's mainly for the ewc points which is why that game is needed.

posted 1 month ago

Yep just not as prestigious as masters let alone champs. How will it be as prestigious as masters with that ass schedule and format? People already call lock in an official event a mickey mouse just cause of the single elimination format. Let's not even talk about ewc

posted 1 month ago

What about scheduling for china and apac? Chinese teams had games in china 3-5 days before this event and along with prepping for stage 2 matches they had to directly travel again for this. And apac has stage 2 matches in like 2 days after this event which are very important for making champs.

Another problem is it's not a part of official eSports cycle for valorant. It doesn't have any champs points or circuit points. and it's qualifiers were equally ass too like just before ewc for 3rd see teams of Toronto which was very unfair. And format with bo1 and single elimination playoffs is just not it for valorant.

And finally yes money makes this event quite important but it's just not as prestigious as masters.
People call it mickey mouse in the sense that it's not as big or as prestigious as official val events especially masters. Let's not even talk about champs.

It is for valorant standards. We are talking about val here not cs. This is vlr not hltv. Can you imagine there being a single elimination playoffs and bo3 finals in champs in val? If that happened in val everyone would be calling it a mickey mouse event.

posted 1 month ago

It only works for val. Can you imagine how ass almost every other eSports will be if they do what you are saying? This event isn't an official riot event so they have no say on this.

Thanks for all the answers. So ig munchkin has at least a year more left. Nice to hear that. Again thanks for the info.

posted 1 month ago

So the age shown in liquipedia (27 years old) is his Korean age or the normal age? Damm more curious now. How does Korean age work? What's munchkin real age and Korean age? Thanks for the answer.

posted 1 month ago

So munchkin can delay it till he is 30 or not? I saw some say 28 is the limit and I couldn't understand your answer. So can you pls answer again. Sorry for the trouble.

posted 1 month ago

What's the maximum age till which you can avoid the service? The guy below said you can delay it by giving justified reason. So is esports a justified reason and can munchkin or anyone else delay it?

posted 1 month ago

So munchkin can actually give the esports career as a reason and delay it till he is 30? That would mean he will have at least 2 more years of val.

Asian games are so stupid. Apparently cause of violence and blood fps games aren't included in it. And next asian games is next year and there is no fps or valo in that.

How is he the goat?

posted 1 month ago

It's also the schedule and format along with what you said. Like eu had really bad schedule with Toronto but this looks much worse. And single elim playoffs.

posted 1 month ago

Ewc ain't gonna change the ranking or anything. Champs will change a lot of the ranking tho I can feel it

At least noman can apparently communicate in English. So that should help a bit with rarga. But yeah you was insane at supporting rarga.

Young one with aspas for sure. I don't see a single weak link in the young roster. But for the old one zellsis or boaster can be the weak link easily.

8/10 at best.
S1 8.5
S2 7
S3 ??
Haven't watched s3 yet but from what I have heard so far it's decent but gets worse. And I won't watch it anymore too. So anyone fill in the marks s3 gets in your opinion.

posted 1 month ago

How was it? Better than s1?

Add ardiss in hm. Not that consistent for long period but was still really good in his peak form.

Idk about simple being washed. He is looking great currently.

Lakia could become a good replacement for munchkin too once he steps down so actually a good move from geng if they get lakia I think. Lakia can be the igl after munchkin leaves. And till munchkin is present he will be the 2nd caller.

posted 1 month ago

Problem is munchkin doesn't have that much time to play before the military service. So they need to get some co caller who can take igl role in place of munchkin in future.

posted 1 month ago

Op literally said in the last round. I don't think sova ulting kj ult there was that bad of a play or call tbh.

posted 1 month ago

I think they need to invest in a secondary caller. Also as you said since munchkin might leave next year they need someone who can take the igl role as well.

posted 1 month ago

Yeah also that 3v1 too. Alfa kinda sold that map ngl.

posted 1 month ago

Nah geng vs sen/prx is 60/40 tbh. 55/45 if sen/prx can win a pistol every map.

posted 1 month ago

Their pistol rounds alone make them the favorites rn. Pistol rounds are too important at this level.

posted 1 month ago

Yeah almost impossible to win if you lose both pistols at this level unless you are prx. Prx did kinda beat geng too in ascent.

posted 1 month ago

Yeah momentum is a very important thing but bro see geng and prx comps and gameplay so far. These ideas or comps will get anti strated or might not work in a long term but they will always win you first few games. They are catching other teams off guard with these changes and new stuffs. And they are playing around it so well too.

posted 1 month ago

They are actually doing this good and will reach very far cause they cooked with the time they had. Came up with new stuffs and took risks in a completely changed meta. While 1st seed teams are using same boring ass old comps. No new stuffs or comps to catch other teams off guard.

posted 1 month ago

They need to win pistols. Also the main reason they lost haven. Their comp on attack relies on ults for haven and they couldn't farm orbs at all. They needed that attack pistol.
Also Alfa sold that map in that 3v1. He gets too aggressive from time to time.

posted 1 month ago

pistols are too important now cause of how good teams have gotten with snowballing. And geng especially are really good with that.

posted 1 month ago

Just win pistol rounds tbh. You can't normally win a map against team like geng if you lose both pistols and a bonus round too.

posted 1 month ago

Pistol rounds are that important cause of how snowball the game can be. I actually think riot needs to do something to reduce the snowballing effect in the game.

posted 1 month ago

See geng are too good with snowballing with the pistol wins and they are already a good team too.

posted 1 month ago

As I said fnatic needs to win pistol to beat geng. Geng major win condition is their pistol rounds and snowballing. It's too hard to win a map after losing both pistols.

posted 1 month ago

Tbh xlg also lost like their very crucial player and had like 2 weeks of practice with their new player. But all 1st seed teams are all playing too safe which is the problem I think. Hoping fnatic to do something different at least.

posted 1 month ago

Tbh it's just one game and he was a monster in apac. And He wasn't even getting that much support or setups in apac like other duelists. So he can improve. But next match is so hard for them no matter who they face.

posted 1 month ago

Bump. Agree tbh. Geng are too good at snowball.

posted 1 month ago

This prx isn't the same as swiss stage prx. They are actually looking better as a team. I actually think they can make a run. Actually giving me hopes but guys be ready to sacrifice yourself if necessary for the train. Contact the conductor sliggy for providing a sacrifice.

posted 1 month ago

They are looking fine but they played like very safe same old type comp. Nothing that creative to surprise prx. And prx actually looks improved from their swiss stage form. They looked really good as a team. And g2 won both pistols so prx actually kinda were lot better than the score looks.

posted 1 month ago

Idk man when in their best form I think prx rolls anyone. But they need pistol rounds to win against geng. Geng is too good at snowballing and prx is a very momentum based team.

posted 1 month ago

Prx can win it all too ngl. They are actually improving. They can make a run if they keep on improving like this.

posted 1 month ago

That 1v3 actually won prx this map. Also so happy to see prx improve as the event goes on. Only fnc and prx are teams here that I like so hoping both do well.
