fair enough yknow, its just that in vlr I see almost every thai fans and SEA fans (and even some CN flag for god knows why) turning their anger towards soop but I just don't understand the actual reason because there was no way each leagues were profiting off anything.
to be honest, that is also a headache and a half. I don't even know what riot should have done to keep sub-regions in SEA viable. looks like every other choice has pretty good evidence of the league losing hella money.
kinda weird for him to be pulling out of EVERY esports. He dived into esports knowing that it is hard to make money. I get his frustration of RIOT but other games too? yikes.
So i just came across the whole SEA thing.
Why would you combine the big ass region into 1 challengers league and allow SOOP international to be the ONLY platform to be able to broadcast? Surely this was NOT the best way for tier 2?
i was reading about this but it seems like RIOT combining the SEA region into 1 league was the main issue. SOOP appears to have paid the most so riot chose them for the broadcasting. RIOT shouldn't have combined the region to begin with tbh.
