The real real ones don't really want to remember how they tried Neon on Pearl and just fell over
Yea exactly. Why force Hiro on initiators when you have a sova player there
Pearl Long B smoke spam simulator is actually less entertaining than watching paint dry.
I wonder if the Haven comp today is a direction they can follow with 2 duelists and Chron Sova. Chron is half decent on Sova and it frees up Hiro to play sentinels which he might be more comfortable with over initiators. Derke can stay on duelist as a primary entry and Alfa can maybe play as secondary entry like Demon1 or Cryo since he can reliably get the trades. Iso is getting nerfed after this week but I wonder if it's worth experimenting more with Alfa on Iso since he seemed quite comfortable on him today. Another idea might be to put him on sentinels like Sage or Deadlock that wants to get onto site, so he would be with the initial site hit?
One of the issues with FNC right now is that Derke is very hot and cold on the entry, and if he loses his opening gun duel then the round becomes very difficult for FNC. I wonder if putting Alfa in that entry space to at least reliably trade would make those rounds more winnable.
So comps would be like:
Ascent: Derke Jett, Boaster Omen, Chron Sova, Hiro KJ/Cypher, Alfa Deadlock
Bind: Derke Yoru, Boaster Brim, Chron Skye, Hiro Cypher, Alfa Raze
Haven: Comp as per today
Split: Derke Yoru, Boaster Omen, Chron Skye, Hiro Cypher, Alfa Raze
Icebox (I have no idea): Derke Jett, Boaster Viper, Chron Sova, Hiro KJ, Alfa Sage
Idk how lotus would work with this system. Maybe that's the one we keep as is or make Chron learn fade and put Alfa on Viper. Another idea is to move away from Viper entirely and run Alfa Neon/Iso and put Chron on Breach for trap plays.
Been living under a rock. Why is pansy casting with steel and not hypoc? Is hypoc still unwell?
I think it's a multifactorial problem. Boaster was definitely fragging during Tokyo and somewhat in champs, but that's partially because they had a really smooth running system back then when everyone knows what their job is, and Boaster doesn't really have to babysit the team. But I think from that new Fnatic video he's struggling with trying to find strats and plays that works with the team, and trying to keep the team hyped. You can tell that the cohesion is definitely worse with the overpeeking and people looking lost in the midround.
Long story short he's trying to take on too many things and nothing is working, so he's very distracted from actually shooting back.
It's not a knock. Its a battering ram and some swarthy dudes dragging you away
Ngl they make a good point. If you're drawing even from behind then it makes sense to talk shit.
But on round 1 or when you get your first round at 3-1? Like nah just fist bump and keep playing.
As easy as it is to be doomer about this, we've seen enough super-sub performances in recent valorant history for him to maybe pull off something crazy. He's probably not going to be a replacement for Leo but would be interested to see the shakeup.
I'm here to stare at my hot IGL Laz idk what you're here for
At least TS doesn't fall over and explode
Brother cope was dead by round 8. This is acceptance.
Strategic 13-0 so we win champs.
(this fucking team is cooked who am I kidding)
esports: 5 year career. MAX. IF YOU'RE LUCKY.
A job: Stable career and source of income for your whole adult life.
all these mfs agreeing with him are kids failing high school trying to justify their lives
Elmapuddy is not it tbh.
He looks so readable
FPX definitely has stacks of talent. The main issue right now is their complete lack of discipline, but that's a fixable thing.
He's 18. He's doing high school most likely. Most medical programs are post graduate or require at least a year or two of uni anyways.
Absolutely agree. I'm IN A SCIENCE HEAVY FIELD and when i tutor high school kids for chemistry or biology I still have to double take at some of the content because it's been a while.
Education isn't like a tech in a game that you unlock and it stays with you forever. The degree and qualification might be but the knowledge disappears once you don't use it.
They only write articles for players who are good at Raze.
Vlr When Twisten passed away: oml mental health is so important be more kind to pro players.
Vlr Now: half of this thread
Career in esports--> 10 years max, income highly dependent on performance.
Actual job--> Lifelong. Income stable.
Miniboo has his head screwed on right.
His VCT career is gonna be 10 years at the very max. His education gonna serve him for way longer. No fucking idea why this is so hard to understand for some people.
I thought it was only this time and the Deffo defuse.
Were there anymore?
If I had a dollar for every time a defuse failed with 0.03s to go on Split A site, I would have 2 dollars, which is not a lot but-
On paper the team is solid.
Unfortunately real life has a tendency to not be like on paper.
Hey if it works
Would be pretty hard to win against 5 people with only 3.
So I like FNC but even i feel like that's a lame excuse.
It's been 6 months. Please do SOME cooking and stop sitting on your laurels.
I liked the team because of how diligent they were with cooking new strats and innovating, and right now they are absolutely not doing that.
I come back after a week of not checking Valorant and
WHO'S WRITING THE SCRIPTS AND WHY ARE THEY ON SHROOMS?
Saadhak likely had to learn aspas’ playstyles and habits to build game plans around him. He probably knows how aspas plays better than aspas himself.
Fnatic has the highest ceiling out of all the teams last year imo. They just didn’t hit it in champs be it because of complacency or burnout or whatever.
However you cut it a team having like a 20-3 match record in a year is genuinely indicative that they’ve had a pretty dominant year.
They actually found the W key and aren't sitting in main for 40 seconds every round. Really good to watch.
Most upvotes has to be that chronicle post calling out babysasuke right?
Don't better yourself for other people or so that girls would talk to you. You're the one who's gonna benefit from the improvements in mental and physical health from your hobbies and your boxing training. Keep doing what you enjoy and keep being passionate about it. If you're trying to put up a facade that you think girls would like, that shit is fake asf and I can tell you now people can tell right away and they won't like it. Be genuine and passionate about who you are and what you like doing, and you'll get there.
At 19 it's really easy to feel like you're behind when everyone around you is dating but you're not, but if we're honest most relationships at that point implode after a few years anyways because people rly aren't mature enough yet.
TLDR: Finding a girl is not be-all-end-all. Do stuff you like and keep up with your hobbies, and you'll slowly but surely meet more people. You're not doing anything wrong. To use a League analogy you're just farming and scaling rn.
Honestly if you can recognise what they're advocating is bullshit you're already halfway there.
While that's true I think their dominance on the map throughout the year has made them synonymous with it. Idk if they are STILL the best but this year I think they deserve the title.
Huh idk im reading this wrong but the EG team that won champs has a 29% win rate on Split?
They're good but neither of them are synonymous with the map. I'd say most of the good teams are pretty close on the map.
This is not based on stats but just from impression:
Ascent: Loud
Bind: Paper Rex
Haven: Loud probably but Fnatic looks really good sometimes as well.
Split: I have no clue ngl no team really stands out
Icebox: Fnatic
Lotus: Fnatic (I know Loud beat them at champs but that was off of antistrats, and aside from that they have been ridiculous dominant throughout the year. Chill with your recency bias.)
Pearl: Paper Rex
Fracture: EG
I don't think that means what you intended it to mean...
Honestly it was either removing Ascent or Haven for Icebox. If they actually removed Ascent Fnatic's map pool would be as solid as it can get, given that Sunset isn't another Pearl for them.
Masters Otara!
Sydney so I can watch the games at a normal time.
I don’t think you can just look at tournament placements in a vacuum. Mid year fnatic looked unbeatable in a way that reminded me of peak Optic, just in the way that they approached the game. I remember seeing an infographic before champs that predicted a 70% chance of fnatic winning and I think that’s a good visualisation of how dominant fnatic was before champs. Ffs they would lose a map and people would lose their minds. I
I reckon that fnatic is not a clear winner in this debate but I think the hype around EG is subject to some recency bias as well.
What would you say is the best team then? If you’re judging it based on one tournament instead of overall performance throughout the year then that’s also biased asf. Just seems to me that discrediting a year of dominant performance just because of a 4th place (which arguably isn’t even that bad) seems reductive imo.
So by your logic Loud is washed because they went from 1st to 3rd at champs.
American education goes hard.
Derke salary: Idk a lot
Tarik Salary rn: Gifted subs and donos
Just promise him 100 gifted for every match win and he'll drop 50s
