Wouldn't mind it
I've spend way too many hours on this site these past weeks
We'll see how credible people will rank them
I'm pretty confident Fnatic will be nr. 1
Jingggggg man
It will feel like a terrible day for rain if he doesn't win that trophy tonight
Yeah since they had only replaced one player and were the better team in 2022 I still remember they were the favorites v Fnatic at lock/in
For sure
Shao = in contention for best initiator
Suygetsu = in contention for best sentinel
Ange1 = in contention for best IGL
Zyppan = in contention for best flex
cNed = one of the best Jetts/OP players in the world
Yeah even NAVI should be considered a superteam imo
It's not like cNed was a downgrade all it did was fuck up their chemistry and roles.
Yeah for that short period of time they were the best players
True they had (still have) the best Korean players on their roster
All time yes
But Potter has cooked this year
Which teams have been actual superteams?
Current Paper Rex with 5 cracked individuals
Curent Fnatic with players arguably being the best in their role + great IGL
Loud 2022 with arguably the best best players in their role + Insane IGL
Gambit 2021? Insanely stacked but it was not their individual players that made them shine the most so no.
Optic 2022? Best NA players in their role (top 3 worldwide) + insane IGL? probably?
Fpx/Navi all insanely talented individuals + grandpa IGL
Who else?
Fnatic at 1 tho
Would never happen here in Europe or any other region tbh
TKZ didn't deserve the punishment he got from Alex and Max
Fpx (Navi) v Drx is so one-sided but the one time Fpx won they actually won a trophy lmao
How hard is it to not fall in love with a random girl on the train?
Why would he swing and risk lining up with Derke
He had faith in Derke and himself to win if it came down to a 1v1 fight
Yeah I would give it to Leo as well but it's so damn close
Yeah Derke can be pretty hit or miss but you need that type of player to get you those important wins (Lock/in Icebox) but Chronicle is normally Mr. consistent so it kinda sucks he wasn't in his normal form this champions
Leo is so good that his performance this champions is considered bad while being a top 3 rated player
He is alive because that's his role lil bro
If Leo is alive = round ain't over
Both of them are so consistent and insane at their role
Will we finally see W gaming from Fnatic?
I truly hope so
Insane year from both of these guys so it will be very hard to decide who gets MVP between these 2 for 2023.
Even here at champions they've still got insanely good stats but not enough support from the rest of the team to win another trophy.
Who's about to win their first world championship?
Yeah Loud ain't NA they were representing Brazil
From here to world champions?
It was out of their hands though if 100T beats Mibr EG is out no matter what but they probably would've owned in Lcq and made champs
Neither teams have showed their Haven right?
It's unknown territory so I don't know if they wanna go there unless they've been cooking
Imo it's a better map for EG than Prx
So I think they're gonna ban Fracture and Haven but that being said they could throw a curveball and try to play EG on one of those maps.
Can't lie they're story is incredible but I like Paper Rex' story even more
They were 1-4 or something before Demon1 got subbed in so no they were not supposed to make playoffs
Don't forget Mibr beat 100T and that resulted in EG making playoffs
They were not supposed to make playoffs
They were not supposed to make Tokyo/Champs
They were not supposed to make finals in Tokyo
They were not supposed to anywhere near an international trophy at the start of the year yet they are here 1 series away from becoming world champions.
They were the laughing stock of the Americas league now they're their only hope of getting an international trophy this year.
EG the team no one feared is 1 step away from eternal glory
Maybe it was all meant to be from the very beginning.
Real life > Movies and whoever wins tonight proves that once again.
Good luck to both teams!
NA they're not gonna give the same casters lower and grand finals
would be such sad ending to their beautiful story but this ain't a movie so it's in their own hands to bring it home for their region and for Jingg especially!
Good luck to both teams tonight that have had an incredible season so far!
Yeah because he sucked before this year right?
Lmao he was a super carry before this roster was built
Yeah that's why Optic beat Guild at the one tournament they won and beat Fpx the team that wasn't allowed to attend that event in the next one /s
Of all time with how hard they struggled against EMEA teams lmao
The only tournament they ever won was the one where the EMEA 1 seed wasn't allowed to attend I don't think that's a coincidence.
They lost every time they faced an EMEA team till the last tournament they ever played.
They wouldn't stand a chance against current Fnatic that is at least a level above all of those EMEA teams optic faced in 2022.
Yeah Fnatic kinda dropped the ball at champions but the rest of their year has been nothing but dominance while Optic always had a couple of losses during their runs.
Fnatic and it ain't close
People forgetting Loud bombed out of groups at masters and Optic not winning a single series against an EMEA team till the last tournament they ever played.
How can you call optic the best team when they struggled so hard against a region
If Ange1 drops 10 kills they're still winning with those 4 guys around him if he calls somewhat decently
That screams international trophies to me
He's not an oper though which would be the big concern but anyways it's not happening just a thought.
Nah bro that would be fucking insane man
No one beats them on pure aim anymore
Imagine if Fnatic had done the same thing = Harbor/Viper comps on the maps it's good on like Pearl and Haven.
But unfortunately Fnatic won too much and got complacent
BO5 means no chance of a fluke win
BO3 you might have a stronghold on a map and fluke your way into another map win
BO5 you have to prove your superiority on basically half of the maps in rotation which shows who the better team is clearly.
Give me more BO5's even if that means single elimination I would take that trade-off
Game 5 incoming and Loud wins Bind as well
That's what I'm saying bro
If Fnatic had cooked up a new comp Loud wouldn't have been able to anti-strat them but since they didn't change anything at all Loud didn't have any trouble reading them like a book.
Meanwhile they had no time to anti-strat EG and also haven't played against these comps before so they can't read them as well
