Ascent is by far their weakest map.
Lotus is so attacker sided for NRG that they usually don't ban it, they keep it open so that if the other team picks it, they get to choose to start on attack.
Their fracture is a bit outdated but its decent, just not their strongest map ya know?
nAts defined lurking for his era. At Gambit's prime, counter-stratting and heavy prep wasn't as common or meticulous as it is now. It took a bit, but slowly it became clear that all the other EMEA teams were counterstratting them.
What worked back at Berlin isn't gonna work again, and I think that's that's the most important point in this discussion.
M3C didn't have an org behind them, a well-funded, proper coaching staff. If they did, they would've been able to adapt their playstyle, change up their strategies, and be able to make a lot deeper prep against their opponents.
imo, being in an org would've at the very least qualified M3C to champions through LCQ and at most got them another grand finals appearance.

The US is the absolute extreme when it comes to individualism. The system is designed so that nobody can force you to do anything unless you yourself give permission. The social attitude can only be described as: "everyone thinks for themselves"
it's good if you never want your rights infringed upon, but its cases like these among many others that make you question whether giving someone absolute control over their life is for the best, especially when their state of mind is like this.
Mark my words, at Tokyo, any of the 3 americas seeds will beat the 3rd and 4th EMEA seeds, Navi will lose to Cloud9 or NRG, and the only one that will remain in the top 4 will be Fnatic.
idk man I think it's easy to fall under the illusion that Giants have improved their gameplay because they started off the split playing against Fnatic and Navi first, and played against progressively worse and worse teams.
After watching them lose to Team heretics running a YORU comp, playing with their coach that's been inactive for 2 years, I can confidently say that Giants have a set skill ceiling. They'll be better than everyone below them in the current standings, and occasionally lose a game to them (I do believe that the heretics game was just an off-day), but they'll never ever be able to beat Liquid, Navi, or Fnatic, and the gap between 3rd EMEA and 4th is really high.
In my personal opinion, with how things are in EMEA rn, NRG singlehandedly clears everyone below Fnatic, NAVI, and TL.
Team Liquid is on an island; there is a gap between them and everyone below them, but there is also a gap between them and NAVI/Fnatic.
I don't know with certainty whether NRG can beat them or not as they currently are (my personal opinion says yes but that isn't based on anything concrete so I won't claim that they can), but we know for sure that LOUD is capable of beating Fnatic if they don't throw an 11-4 lead, which should never happen, like ever (props to Fnatic for pulling that off btw), and we know for sure that Cloud9 is better than every single Americas team right now, the only uncertain matchup being LOUD
So: if Loud and C9 are on generally the same level (I want to say NRG too but again I can't back that off a single series against loud, while C9 has proved themselves by going 8-1 against everyone and almost taking a close series 1-2 against loud with only 2 weeks of practice with their new roster), and Loud is in the same tier as Fnatic and NAVI, then both C9 and LOUD can dumpster Team Liquid.
The way I see it, EMEA only has 3 good teams while the rest of its teams are uncompetitive with them.
The reason Americas is getting so much ype is because the top 4 teams has changed at least thrice since the season began, and even 100T can beat Furia who did better against Fnatic than NAVI did.
LOUD C9 and NRG are the undisputed kings of Americas league right now, but everyone in Americas is so close that it's possible for EG to beat them, Furia to beat them, hell even 100T. Imo The rest of Amer

bro there's 0 chance aspas leaves loud in the near future. by the time it becomes reasonable (loud falling off) for him to want to switch teams, the entire ecosystem will be so different that there's no telling what team would have a roster lineup that he finds ideal enough, and at the same time offering the money he would want.

Does sound in-game travel faster to my headphones than the image appears on-screen, or is the speed of the sound playing correlated to the hz of my monitor?
