A bold claim yes, but I genuinely think this is the case. We have seen established players like Aspas, Less, and Sacy moving outside of Brazilian teams to English speaking teams, but Sato’s case is much more different, hence his move to Lev has a much greater implication on the scene.

Sato is a Brazilian prospect, not an established player, him making the jump to an English speaking team like lev means that English speaking teams are now a lot more willing to lean into prospects in Brazil, which allows more Brazilian prospects to get picked up and achieve more success.

We have seen the shortcomings of the likes of furia and pre 2025 MIBR, it’s obvious players wouldn’t want to just keep on losing in such a high pressure environment, so adding talent to a proven side could be what these talents need.
