GC is an entirely different league because at this point in Valorant, women can't compete against men at the top level.
lucky for them, thats not until playoffs
EMEA Split 2 starts in a week. There's no time for any team to pick him up and also practice with him.
The only teams that might are the ones who are severely underperforming and need a superstar-like player that they can build around later if things don't work out over the whole split.
CN- Agreed but i also don't watch their matches. FPX should be their best team at Champs.
APAC- I can see Talon putting up a fight and making it over RRQ.
EMEA- TH 100%; NaVi makes it most likely; FNC, KC, VIT and FUT probably fills the remaining 2.
Americas- 100T surely (biased), SEN also should make it; I don't think EG will. Its a fight between G2, LOUD, NRG, C9, KRU, LEV (great competition, hyped to see) for the last 2 spots.
Scoreline of 66-55 to Americas isn't really cope
If it was a whole tournament-like competition between them, which region do you think would win based on no. of matches won against the teams of the other region?
It would be a total of 121 games played so there would be no draw. Assume it's BO3s.
I reckon Americas takes it by at least a difference of 10 games.
Sure thing. TH is definitely pulling EMEA up the ranking.
TH might actually win against GenG but that still wouldn't put EMEA as the #1 region.
FNC was disappointing.
FUT did alright.
NAVI might be good at an international so we'll have to wait to see them at Champs.
KC, i dont even know what to think about them.
TH is the best the region has to offer by a lot rn.
i dont think EMEA would still be #1 as a region tho
True, but losing on their best map and 1-13 is why people are shitting on them.
100T was 20-26 against GENG and G2 was 18-26.
While everyone else is trashing NA for losing to EMEA, i just wanna point out that 100T won 14 rounds against TH in a BO3 while G2 only has 8 so far. Will G2 in a BO5 get more rounds than 100T did in a BO3 against TH? Personally, i think they might match the 14 rounds.
Also, 100T is definitely better than G2 still.
My bad. Even i said Madrid accidentally in my main comment. I was completely talking Shanghai. Sorry.
Are you on something? Please look at the matches again. It was cross-group games and both pairs you said were in the same group.
SEN-NRG didn't even play each other.
Also, it will be a crazy fight for the spots. C9, G2, KRU & LEV are gonna fighting like hell for Top 3.
They clearly were the better/best teams when they qualified. SEN and NRG didnt even make it to playoffs. They also secured 2 spots in Top 4.
Only time will tell who we'll see at Champs from Americas coz most people thought it would be SEN, NRG and LOUD at Madrid and we can see where they are now.
Very true. Sad to see the way they went out, losing on their best map and getting dominated on next but the progress has been fun to watch.
100T should be set up nicely to make it to Champs too. Lets see the how the year runs out.
From winning nothing to being 4th at Masters in a couple months, i think they're doing good.
happy they made it to Masters and top 4 but pain...
I wanna believe but 100T is bad on Sunset and TH is pretty good. Its joever.
GenG 2-1 G2
100T 2-1 TH
100T 3-1 G2
GenG 3-2 100T
I still want 100T to win but going from lower bracket puts them at a big disadvantage since Bind will probably be banned and they'll also have to play Lotus (100T's permaban). But if they pull out a masterclass, I want a 3-2 win from 100T.
What are your predictions?
As Nadeshot said after winning Americas- "We take all the bandwagoners" (or something like that)
Wasn't even talking about the rest of EMEA.
G2 will lose to TH and play FUT in lower bracket. G2 will win if they remember how to play. FUT will be eliminated because of 100T and G2.
We'll see when FUT gets eliminated solely by the fraud region.
Winning against EDG (of all teams) still hasn't convinced me of that.
They'll probably win against PRX after this wake-up call.
People start trash talking the moment a team loses 1 match. It wasn't a sweep. They didn't get easily destroyed by GenG. Both maps were 13-10 and team had a rough day with mid-round calling and got read by another one of the tournament favourites. They are still a very good team.
P.S.- GenG was on demon time today. All of them were hitting hard.
I think 100T might get first pick. So the game starts on their map pick.
GenG>=FNC (Could've gone either way)
FUT>FNC (Convincing enough)
100T>>>FUT (Pretty obvious)
Does this mean 100T>>GenG?
100 - PRX
100 - FNC
100 - TH
100 - 100T
What are we thinking now? There goes all your player comparisons...
Genuinely curious, what part of the draw looks scripted?
Still a game of chance though. Even if they do a normal draw, one team gets randomly paired with the easiest opponent. Now, they still get randomly selected to be the 1st team to pick and they'll choose the easiest team. Only thing different is the shit-talking if they end up losing.
Might not even happen but a great matchup regardless.
Funniest one would be them picking G2 for their match coz that would just be bullying (if they win).
Wait what? That doesn't sound right. If playoffs wins awarded points, wouldn't 1st seeds from group stage be at a disadvantage because they play 1 less game? As far as I knew, only playoffs winner got the 3 points.
I started watching pro games a month after I started playing Valorant in late 2020 and I've been supporting 100T since then only because I knew Nadeshot owned 100T and they had a team. Even though this was after they won First Strike, I didn't know that back then.
Well, in their defense, they did put NRG & SEN in one group and LOUD, LEV & 100T (personal bias) in the other. Everybody would have thought the 2 best teams could be from these.
I don't think it was a fluke. The fact they are losing now just means that they were only slightly better than every other team at that point. And when you win a major tournament, every team will analyse the hell out of your gameplay to see what made you better. Resulting in SEN being beaten by teams after Madrid.
Still, they never should've lost that 10-2 lead against EG.
Agreed. Asuna clears.
Haven't really seen a bad loss for 100T so far. I have high hopes for the regular season.
So am I. Even though I believe 100T can definitely win, the past record worries me.
Nah, not downfall. 100T have been down for a while. The only way now is up. I believe.
100T vs FaZe might end up being a good rivalry. They'll likely clash twice again in this LCQ.
