Depends on what your school requires, but I would probably get an older Mac Air or an older Ms Surface Pro 8/9 for school. At the ends it comes down to your prefered OS and if you want to use Pen or Keyboard. I personally got a Surface Pro 7 2 years ago and it does just fine for all tasks.
