First time I see them and I'm kind of disappointed

They're one of the few teams to use purple in their branding so I expected something cool because even simple designs work great with this colour (like Acend's) but they're just kind off all over the place and hence ugly

Same could be said for Mouz (besides having only German players in other games) but they use an EU flag but w/e I guess

posted about 2 years ago

Fokus has a German flag despite only having 1 German player?
The flag choice on this site sometimes genuinely confuses me

Hey Eutalyx, think you got a mistake at the beginning.
"The six best Regional League champions and the two bottom VCT teams"

The total of teams in playoffs is six, so there's 4 (not 6) Regional Champs and 2 VCT teams

The visas are still issued afaik, might be the problem with having to quarantine trying to go around with the flights (like Moscow-Istanbul-Reykjavik)

I feel so fking sad for baddy, he was so hyped to go :c

posted about 2 years ago

How is it sad? Tournaments are way more interesting when there isn't a clear favourite, imo

Something is screwed up the game doesn't even show up on the match bar

I watch most if not all games during major LANs.

Online? Don't really see a reason to watch games of teams for which I don't care. I mean, I still watch all games of G2 + teams with PL players, so Acend, LDN and now FPX, so I guess that's plenty already.

Taking a break due to mental health issues.

I'd love for both G2 and Acend to qualify for playoff but the latter don't look good vs BBL rn

Great clutch but I have no clue why FIN peeked out 1 by 1 like that. Probably losing focus because the game dragged on for too long

You reminded me I have a Kozel bottle in fridge, cheers

I have absolutely no clue how can you possibly lose that XD 4v1 and stuck in backsite, they just peeked 1 by 1 for no reason

I hope LDN steps up in week 2. Today their gameplay was so chaotic, like the pressure overwhelmed them.

posted about 2 years ago

I know they have individual players in some solo games but I specifically had teams in mind.

Does Envy have any team left playing under their own name and not OpTic/Dallas Fuel besides Rocket League one now?

Pansy was god awful 5-6 years ago in CS but I like her now f.e. Casters get better with experience

I hate the fact ESL forces the idea of a BO5 final in CS. There was a few good ones (like the VP - SK final of EPICENTER 2017), but mostly they end up just being either a 3-0 sweep (so BO3 would be sufficient), or 5 one-sided maps and the series takes like 6 hours anyway.

Valo match length fits the BO5 system a lot more

posted about 2 years ago

When Valorant was just coming out there was a vivid discussion in the CS:GO community regarding the length of the pro matches, especially with three-mappers almost always going over 3 hours.

Sure it's to make games more appealing, but also pro games, so they won't take as long. Especially since Valorant has so far utilized BO5s a lot more freely than CS:GO does.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah let's just throw out one of the main mechanics.

If you think economy in a tactical shooter is not needed then go watch Rainbow 6 or something instead

posted about 2 years ago

The length of games in CS:GO is the very reason Valorant match is played with 24 rounds and not 30 since the beginning.

So did he like say/write "nice" or something?

34h, Plat 1 last season, peak D1 in Episode 1 Act 1

Tbh this made me realize I've already watched more Valorant than played it lul

What do you think would be the accurate action if they don't want to straight out just replace the entire lineup? Financial fine for everyone involved?

posted about 2 years ago

Yup as there's absolutely nothing in between "suspension for one qualifier" and "career ending violation". Dude.

I'm just paying attention to the specific wording in the source post. Time will tell what T1 will do long term, but the incident will be a strain on their reputation, especially if coach goes back to work as usual. The players' involvement is obviously a separate subject.

posted about 2 years ago

Ofc he's a scapegoat here, but it's not like they're gonna skip on the most important qualifier of the next few months.

posted about 2 years ago

The difference is coaches were allowed to call at first. The fact they are not now imo is a change in a good direction, otherwise there wouldn't be a need for IGLs. Most CS:GO event organizers made the same move in the past.
It isn't as serious of a violation as f.e. using external cheating software or streamsniping, but now it is a violation nonetheless and should be treated as such.

posted about 2 years ago

Suspended "for this qualifier"

Are they implying after the quali they might just say "screw that, let's get him back into lineup"? Lol

posted about 2 years ago

This isn't the Scytes roster that took part in the qualifier, check Liquipedia, probably not updated

posted about 2 years ago

Christ... cleanup the flags on teams guys, please, or use an algorithm like player majority so it doesn't have to be set manually. Most of those here don't match up with lineups at all - and since we use EU flags for mixed nationality EU teams and not the flag of where the org is from, I don't see why should it be any different for Middle East

posted about 2 years ago

It's like that for all the VRLs since Riot didn't want to block assembling mixed nationality rosters. Teams like Wave Esports wouldn't have met requirements for any of the leagues if the rule you want was enforced.

posted about 2 years ago

imo CIS VRL chose the best option, 4 invites (based on VCT Quali results), 4 qualifier slots.
50/50 split

posted about 2 years ago

They met the requirements and won the quals fair and square. No wonder they took that opportunity since Spain (or Portugal+Spain+Italy) region has 9/10 spots filled up with invites.

Don't hate the player, hate the game

posted about 2 years ago

The fact nationality requirements allow most teams to choose between VRLs but they have to pick one because all the qualifiers are held at the same time makes it quite interesting

Though I guess Dsyre would've played in the Spain region if it wasn't for the absurd format they went along with, with only 1 Open spot there

tbh sounds solid, play-in phase at Champions also seem like fun
