The problem is that Akeman needs time to grow his agent pool but sadly DRG lacks time more than anything. They’d probably be a very strong team given another year.

Ok, I'm going to put this very simply from the perspective of a non-S1Mon hater. I know I've been saying some pretty bad stuff about him today, but that's because I don't think bringing him back would fix the team. Here's the thing:

1. No one actually thinks S1Mon is bad, no EDG fan thinks that in the slightest. It's simply that he no longer gels with the team.
2. The meta has changed, Breach isn't good anymore. Even if S1Mon came back, his bread and butter would be irrelevant at the highest level, and his firepower doesn't justify playing him over better shooters.
3. No one actually doubted the results themselves, but the team clearly were struggling, and yes, this does include Masters Bangkok because it turned into a CHICHOO one man show at one point, and S1Mon's subsequent crash out + their loss to NOVA simply caused a rift to form between EDG's core and S1Mon.

Kinda wild that a team that’s had no internal issues at all historically speaking suddenly blows up when their rookie crashes out. On top of that, former coaches and other players also stepped out supporting EDG on the matter.

Absolutely this take is what it is. Meta has shifted, yet they still try to go for the Breach heavy playstyle that no longer works. They gotta adapt.

I don’t see a world where you’re actually being serious, S1Mon has undoubtedly caused an irreparable rend to form between himself and the rest of EDG. Simply suggesting to slot him back into the team in a meta where Breach is weak is absolutely absurd and unrealistic. EDG’s current issue is their lack of suitability to the current meta. Kang kang simply doesn’t mesh with Yoru and Muggle has a weak read on what’s actually good.

They honestly should, I’m a big fan.

Unknown, potentially a fear clause entered by TYL. NOVA Monk also didn’t play against AG so such things may be possible. Questionable role issues could also be another explanation.
