3/8, got my stupid ass

Who's your pick?

posted 2 months ago

Just cause Trent is the best player on the best team does not give him MVP. I used stats from both group stage and playoffs because that made more sense for VCT, but the statistically best player in Americas was Cryocells throughout group stage. This is not most complete player, this is not player who played the best in the winning team, this is most VALUABLE player. The player the team can't function without, the player that had a monster performance and the stats to back it up.

TLDR:
Trent = Siakam = Saquon
Aspas = SGA = Allen
Cryo = Jokic = Burrow

Who would you say is MVP, I was debating between Aspas and Cryo for a while. I think a case could be made for either.

Brazil #1, idc

Aspas

Zekken

Demon1

My thought behind moving Zekken to flex was that if Sen had more firepower + Kaplan Coaching + John IGL, they would be unstoppable.

These are the following Americas players who could benefit from Role Changes. I made these selections based purely on the needs of their team and their performances AND IT IS JUST FOR FUN, realistically none of these will happen.

Zekken:

  • He has insane potential to be a Forsaken type player imo, where he can flex into any role. He is an insane player as a duelist, but I always think that it is easier to find a cracked duelist player than a cracked player in any other role, and Zekken's mechanics are so good that he can reprise his XSET role easily. Imagine the firepower with a team like JohnQT (Initiator), N4RRATE (Flex), Zekken (Flex), Bang (Controller), Reduxx/Canezerra/Infiltrator/Boni (Duelist)

Asuna:

  • One of the biggest downfalls of 100T in Stage 1 / Kickoffs was their uncomfortability with double initiator comps with Breach/Fade or Sova. The solution? Lets put Asuna on Sentinel/Duelist like Icy and let Boostio flex into Initiator/Controller like how he did in EG. They can still fall back on the Asuna Gekko/Kayo when needed, but this allows them to play Breach/Fade on certain maps. I truly think this is better than Cryo on Sentinel because Cryo on duelist can take over a game so easily.

Demon1:

  • He needs to become a full controller player. There are too many archtypes like him in the league: those who can play Jett, Iso, and can play Brim/Astra. He needs to lean into the controller player and reinvent himself. Come back with his insane aim and the controller util, there is a team waiting for him with arms wide open.

Icy:

  • The greatest Icy games in playoffs were when he was on Killjoy. Why not shift into a perma Senti player following this season, a perma senti who has experience playing duelist as well at the Tier 1 level would be a great asset to a lot of teams.

What other player do y'all think should switch roles?

posted 2 months ago

The signature of a Mickey Mouse is when goofy comps are played, or players are playing off role (Cryo Cypher for example). If standard comps are used, its a competitive match, can't make excuses bc no one really wants to lose.

I feel so bad, his twitter is so wholesome with pictures/vids of his baby

posted 2 months ago

I just don't get this argument, he doesn't even have double digit league goals, he didn't win the UCL or anything international, and he isn't even the most prolific goal scorer or passer on that team.

Dembele just won the UCL being double marked at ST, won Ligue 1 with six games to spare, and has 29 goals this year.

Lamine is going to win multiple Ballon d'ors in his career, he is an insane talent. But he shouldn't win this one.

Disband this fraudulent team, bottled Serie A and dicked down by PSG

Honeymoon phase + online qualifiers. I wanna see how Ethan IGL's on stage with a crowd and making adjustments in real time with all the pressure. Because the mechanics are there for this team to win events, the IGLing is the big elephant in the room.

posted 2 months ago

I think their owners are looking to offload EG tho, isn't val the only esport they're still in?

posted 2 months ago

My only problem with that is I think that he has more fragging capability on Controller and his playstyle doesn't really suit Sentinel. The way he plays Viper kinda proves that imo, but I could be wrong

posted 2 months ago

It is a long offseason for Demon1, he should take the next 7 months and learn as much about controllers as possible. Learn the ins and outs of Viper, Harbor, and the rest of the orb smokes. If you can become a cracked consistent controller player, he can truly be one of the greats. He needs to reinvent himself like TenZ and so many others. I think a lot of what's holding teams from picking him up is he is a Controller player who is alr on Viper, just average.

A lot of schools limit how many science courses you can take over the summer. Ik for med school admissions, taking more than 2 essential sciences over the summer is a red flag, plan accordingly. Looks good otherwise, don't be afraid to take a gap year if need be. It is extremely easy to burnout, college is a diff breed than high school.

And make sure to go to Panthers' football and basketball games!

And just one month before they announced their exit from LCS, they spent a historic amount of money to pick up their now COD superteam that just dethroned Faze for #1.

And even after they "sold" their LCS spot, Riot kept them in the league with a guest spot. That should tell you all you need to know about Riot's opinion on 100T and how likely they'll be to stay in the league post 2027

posted 2 months ago

100T spent 27M 3 years ago on a CDL spot, spent millions this year on a COD superteam, and according to multiple streamers/pro's they pay more than anyone in VCT Americas barring G2, Sen, NRG, Lev. They good bro.

Interesting vid tho!

posted 2 months ago

What org would you like to see? Me personally, I think Shopify Rebellion, Optic coming back, Flyquest, or Complexity would all be interesting orgs.

posted 2 months ago

Supamen has been a pillar on that team, makes no sense to replace him with an inexperienced controller and viper player in Demon1

posted 2 months ago

What orgs do you think will be dropped by Riot in 2027, Leo teased a big change incoming. Off the top of my head I got the following:

Americas:

  • EG
  • Furia
  • MIBR (Didn't they funnel their VCT money elsewhere last year?)

EMEA:

  • KOI
  • GIANTX

Pacific:

  • DFM

Idk what his criteria is going to be, but teams that made obvious infractions and teams that have been horrible are surely first up on the chopping block no?

And what new orgs would you like to see?

Canezerra - Jett/Iso
Boni - Raze/Neon/Yoru
Ion2x - Controller
Vora - Initiator/IGL
Seven - Sentinel

This is off pure stats, can this team win Ascension?

Like many pro players say, when u go pro that young, it means you sacrifice other daily developmental experiences that other people their age experience. They quite literally just play video games every minute of their free time and can be fucked in the head really easily

posted 2 months ago

4/8, respectable

posted 2 months ago

Y'all are overblowing this 16 year old situation, Canezerra will come back before Stage 2 next year if they ascend. And no shade to Ion but there are so many cracked controller players on the market.

Sen fans being scared lmao, be happy that y'all consistently make internationals. Other teams haven't even made one since the inception of VCT.

Also Sen don't really make shit comps since Kaplan joined, they'll cook something up

posted 2 months ago

Since they picked up Lukxo, they lost to 100T, Sen, and EG.

They lost to EG with map scores of 13-11, 12-14, and 11-13.

If Lukxo played the entire Split, they would've made playoffs for sure imo

If ur goal is to go to med school, just take Gen chem 1 and 2. Since u got a 99 and 5, you should get A's both sems and statpad ur BCPM GPA. No reason to skip GC 1/2 unless ur tryna grad in 3 years.

I put them right behind: G2, Sen, MIBR, EG, 100T, KRU, NRG

I put them on par with Loud

They are better than Lev, Furia, 2G
