The concept of a map pick is that you pick a map that u either feel very confident on, one u think the other team might be bad at, u have a good gameplan on or just anything that gives u an advantage. Even tho ur team has better aim and mechanics u can still get stomped by a mid tier team if their gameplan is good, valorant is about tactics and outplaying not just aim duels.
The amount of time teams put into maps vary a lot which is why u probably feel that way

It cant hold a long it cant take c it cant default cuz it only has 1 drone and yoru can get beaten up on entries aswell as taking garage, the only thing they can do is fast hit a or b and bunker on sites a bit, even that is bad tho. The comp doesnt make sense but it works here
