Before you got relegated back to Challengers no matter what, now you can keep your spot indefinitely if you make champs or win ascension again.

Not just better, the team has to place high enough, can't remember specific number. The only time it's based on which team is better is if both make it. Both teams can be relegated or sent back to ascension
