my thought process was that teams are incentivzed to do better by having a higher draft pick. Like why woud worse teams be rewarded with a higher draft?

I dont think so. Mwzera has performed better consistently (kahlil has only had good performance this year for a couple matches towards the end)+ he is bassicly the face of furia atp

eg have new stipended and managment so they are no longer in dnager of leaving (still def not a top org but now they more C9 ish level)
LEV knows Aspas will not want to play with them, and if they cant make him they will have to start lowering his buyout to something the teams left will actually pay (since almost all the rich orgs have there rosters/at least their duelists locked in)

Forsaken plays every role but smokes better than his teammates
Smoggy is a better flex than S1mon
If Cryo played perma duelist 100T would be 10x better
Skuba is a better smokes player than Zander/V1C/Bang and the fact that he hasnt been picked up is insane
MCE is a top 3 coach in NA and the fact that this is the 2nd year in a row where he wont be on a t1 team is criminal
