the thing is... the next 2 teams are FUT and KC who have 8 points. Consider FNC loses the rest of their matches, they will be stuck at 12. Assume FUT and KC win their next 2 games putting them at 10 each. If either of them win Stage 2, they will be at 13 which is more than FNC, which is why they ain't auto-qualified

I am here to answer this long running topic. This is mainly because teams feel they are better on Split than their weakest map. For eg : For 100t, it is better to avoid Lotus since they look weaker on it.
TLDR : Teams will have a greater chance in Split than in their weaker maps
