As a tier 2 duelist main i dont really find him having the potential as a star player but from EGs history he can prob become a systematic player who fits in their strats
Not good for him personally but this is his only chance (in the near future) to really play in tier one.
Also despite him being "cheap" to be added in the roster, there is prob a reason potter picked him from all the EG trial contenders (If there is any)
Potter couldve easily picked Icy (Who was on EG but didnt play for them) if Sym is really that bad
So trust in the kid. From all the sen city games ive seen him play in he is obv very gifted (Not as gifted as zekken or mada or oxy respectfully) but he has potential to be great. I think he is just trying to fit into EGs style and get used of a very different calling system i assume.
If EG REALLY want to try something different if EG is struggling with sym being main duelist. Yay can always play part time duelist (Not saying that i suggest this and if this is a good idea and it is acc a very risky decision).

Really if you want to rank up omen/astra/clove are prob better but if you want to improve ur harbor these are all the suggestions ik :)

Also going to a custom lobby and practice curving ur harbor walls are pretty helpful for me
