There is no way teams are qualifying to playoffs when the split isnt even over yet. I mean i guess hard work payed in the first split but look at DRX, they were flawless in split 1 and now losing 2 out of their 3 games and looking down.
The points system looks fairly average at first but now when u look back at it, it takes away LCQ which im sure a lot of ppl adore. And it also allows teams to "Automatically qualify to champs" when its only week one of stage 2 (EDG)

For example the standard ascent comp is Sova kayo kj jett and omen
And now the so called standard split comp is omen viper raze viper cypher.
Most of the teams uses this comp and little of them makes small changes
