Soniqs can't even beat Teal Seam ffs so what makes you think they'd have a good chance against any Reykjavik team?

NA teams have beaten Sen before so idk wtf you mean

I mean if we are ONLY taking into consideration the Masters games then sure, but we shouldn't throw the months and months of gameplay these teams have played and their previous results. Should be more like:

  1. Sen
  2. Fnc
  3. V1
  4. Liquid
  5. Vks
  6. Nuturn
  7. X10/CR
  8. Sharks
  9. KRU

I mean it's not really aproto, dre or Moose's responsibility to tell them. Management should have immediately told them but if you are aproto, dre or Moose you would probably 1. assume they were told by management 2. focus on moving on as hard as it is since they can't do too much about it without taking drastic action. At the end of the day it's simply business and players get dropped and replaced all the time in eSports, as sad as it is.

I mean NA>EU and all but bro it's 2 games... The top 2 teams in NA went against the top 2 teams in EU and the NA teams won 2 incredibly close series where 4/5 of the maps were won by 2-3 rounds and Liquid even won map 1. Not to mention all the roster changes that are happening or going to happen.

Vikings were never really true favorites but I agree. In my mind there were 4 favorites heading into this, those 4 being Sen, FNC, TL and VKS but none were truly favorites. Now Sen are the favorites heading into day 3 with VKS, FNC and V1 all being behind them. But either way, X10 should get some respect and they should beat CR but they definitely won't beat Fnatic. They might get within a few rounds or even take a map but they won't win. I also want to point out that the Asian teams have been more impressive than the South American teams. Nuturn beat Sharks, CR kept it very close against V1 and X10 put up a really good fight against one of the favorites in VKS. I'm not saying that Asian teams are better than SA teams but they've been much more impressive. Like I thought KRU was going to keep it close with FNC and maybe even take a map and that VKS would roll X10 but KRU got rolled and X10 put up 1 hell of a fight. Vision Strikers will probably be the best team in Asia once again with their roster changes and if X10 got within a few rounds of beating FNC, imagine what VS could do once they make an international tourney

You think Riot would pay someone for EXCLUSIVE access to stream their game?

I'm assuming that Izzy will play jett and russ will probably play phoenix like he did when he played with Cned on BBL.
Edit: I just saw someone say that many have seen russ playing sova recently which makes more sense to me. pAura will obviously be on cypher/killjoy, Turko will likely be on sage(although he can play anything really), Brave will play the smokes and Izzy will be on jett leaving no one to play sova other than russ.

Imo the top 4 have to be Liquid, Fnatic, Sentinels and Vikings in any order. The next 2 teams are up for debate bur Nuturn should be 1 of them imo

Damn your hope was restored because of 1 scrim...

I'm going to go with VKS but if not, I'm going with Fnatic.

Sharks 2-1. This could go easily go either way imo and it should be a close one.

I'm going to go with a 2-1 for CR and map 3 goes to OT. V1's win condition is vanity. He's always been a good IGL and has brought this team to this point. Now he needs to deal with the temporary addition of jammyz and one of his first LANs(iirc). I was never a diehard cs esports fan but from my knowledge, vanity began to shine at the start of the online era when he was on Chaos so he needs to perform on LAN and get jammyz incorporated into the team if V1 wants to win this. Also penny and Zellsis need to ball out. They are incredible players but are very inconsistent so if they show up, V1 should definitely win. Honestly, of all the teams in this tourney, I have the most questions about V1, especially about how they'll perform on LAN.

Vikings 2-0. X10 keeps 1 game close but the other game is a blowout.

posted about 2 years ago

Fnatic wins 1 OT game and 1 game like 13-10

It's not about hazed skill, it's about Tarik very likely being a better Valorant player if he switches over. Tarik was also an IGL and with a lineup of Wardell, Subroza, Drone, Brax and Tarik, TSM would be looking like a powerhouse once again.

Ok so I don't watch much EU Valorant or know nearly as much about it as I know about NA Valorant but I still watch some EU Valorant and keep up with it(i.e checking match pages and seeing results) and I have free will so I'm going to share some thoughts on each rumored move.
G2: They've needed to make changes for a while now and these rumored changes should be what G2 needs to get back to the top of EU. Mixwell and Pyth have been consistently great players for G2 and definitively were worth keeping. Add nukkye, a top 5 player in EU, AvovA who is a very consistently good player on the smokes and either the legendary cs IGL Alex or the IGL who helped Cned actually achieve success in Koldamenta and this roster is looking like a top team in EU once again.
Heretics: Once a top team in EU, Heretics has taken major losses by losing everyone but loWel and maybe pAura. If pAura stays and they sign paTiTek and ardiis, like they are rumored to, Heretics could recover, especially with all the FAs available. However, I doubt they will recover to the level that they were and I don't think they'll be winning many tier 1 events.
Acend: From my understanding of Acend's situation, either everyone will leave, they will rebuild around Cned, or everyone will stay. If everyone stays, then Acend should still be a top 5 team but if everyone leaves then Acend will probably just leave Valorant and Cned being a FA would be amazing for other teams. Just imagine Cned being the 5th on Heretics alongside loWel, pAura, paTiTek and ardiis. That roster would be amazing and Cned would be a great replacement for nukkye.
Alliance: zeek and baddyG should be an upgrade over kAdavra and xms if they decide to add both and drop xms. However they could also keep xms and add either zeek or baddyG which would allow luckeRRR to play more phoenix. Either way, this roster should be improved and they should continue to challenge the very best teams in EU.
NiP: I don't understand dropping Jady at all but dropping Crea is definitely a good move. While kAdavra is a good player, he is not as good as Jady so I still don't understand why they plan to replace Jady with kAdavra or why they are trying to replace him at all. If they get Bonecold to replace Crea, then they are getting a huge upgrade but if they get ec1s, they would just replace 1 shitty player with another and at the very best would be a slight upgrade. If NiP drop Jady and Crea and replace them with kAdavra and ec1s, then they would be making a huge mistake. However if they were to keep Jady and also replace Crea with Bonecold, then NiP would likely be competing to be a top 3 team in EU.
OG: If ISSAA actually does join OG's valorant roster, then there is some hope for this team. uNKOE is a good player, TviQ isn't horrible and they are trialing a shit ton of players. I don't know many of those players but based on their stats, all of them are at least solid players.
Turkish Superteam: It's extremely unlikely to happen imo, but if it did, they would compete with the top 5 EU teams.

With these changes, the top 5 in EU(in no order) should be Liquid, Fnatic, G2, FPX and either Acend, BDS, Alliance or NiP imo.

Honestly I haven't been watching too much Valorant recently but I've been keeping up. With that being said, 100T is a top 5 team and 2 1-2 losses to Envy and Sen doesn't mean they need roster changes. However, they do need to make some comp changes and better adjust to the meta. Also anyone who thinks that 100T needs roster changes, tell me who they should drop and pick up.

posted about 2 years ago

Sen with Tenz before the BBG upset was the best NA Valorant team we've ever seen. Also they've only dropped 8 maps in 19 and 2/3 games, dominated Masters and have only lost to BBG and ABX... Sinatraa was shit in 2021 and Sen started struggling more, losing to IMT, LG twice and Envy twice. Sinatraa is not better than TenZ and even before his incident, he was on the decline. I'll take the roster that dominated Masters rather than the team who got demolished by Envy.

C9 2-1
If Leaf and floppy play good, they should win. Leaf has been pretty bad recently and floppy is brand new but Leaf is a top 20 player in NA when he is on and floppy was great in cs and has the potential to be top 20 in NA.

Honestly they're probably making more money off of loaning TenZ than they did when TenZ was playing for them xD

Ik they lost but I'm just happy that Venerated is back :)

So you're saying that his job should take priority over his family? Family should always take priority over your career especially if you already likely made a lot of money.

Nah if Asuna didn't just absolutely shit on Victor and Envy then maybe Victor would be winning. Asuna just went 17-10 against Victor and 74-45 with a 364 ACS against Envy as a whole...

  1. Neither team had an easy route to this matchup. 100T had to face a scary ex-dig squad AndBox and a red hot C9B team that had just beaten GenG and IMT(both of which were Masters teams) and Envy beat the 2 other 2 teams that have qualified already(Version1 and XSET)
  2. Envy always does good when it comes to qualifying for big events but always choke at the big event itself. They dominated Challengers 2 but then lost at Masters and they won the NSG closed qualifier for First Strike but then lost at First Strike. So even if Envy wins this will it matter in the end? Will Envy actually keep up their performance after qualifying? Envy has this stacked roster but what do they have to show for it? Besides "winning" qualifiers Envy hasn't won shit so let's see if they will choke once again or not.
posted about 3 years ago

I mean C9 was finishing top 3 in some Ignition Series tournaments and even won the 1st First Strike open qual but then shit the bed from there on. I don't think you can really say it was just TenZ as well since they also dropped Shinobi and Vice and now relykS and mitch are the 2 weakest links on the team. The team as a whole wasn't very good and if you put xeta and leaf on a team with TenZ in the place of poiz, C9 would be an even better team.

posted about 3 years ago

I think XSET takes this 2-0 but both maps should be close. Unlike Sen, XSET will actually have some film to go off of and I think XSET is just the better team anyways imo. Also why does it say robwiz is playing for BBG and not rarkar?

posted about 3 years ago
  1. They all weren't absolutely cracked but were good players and at least Boostio, Roca and pr0phie are tier 1 capable players and the other 2 are good tier 2 level players.
  2. They weren't that bad and didn't play too long together with these 5 but when they lost, it was because Roca is inconsistent as hell and because DXN and derrek aren't as good as some of their opponents(NRG and AndBox)
posted about 3 years ago

Sen and Faze have no reason to make changes unless they think that 1 bad tournament means that they are shit and TSM and NRG have new rosters so you shouldn't base their need for roster changes off of their losses. However, TSM needs a good IGL and I think dephh would be a good fit. He's been playing Omen for the ex-dig team(RAMB) so he could switch right in for reltuC and TSM could keep their current comp with the other 4. C9 has been great recently but they can always improve and the FAs right now are very good so maybe they should go for Rara or Roca to replace relykS and move Leaf back on omen but I think they should just keep their roster as it is for right now since it is working for them. For EG and Col, if they want to seriously compete in Valorant, they need to blow up their rosters but keep Aleksandar and Temperature for EG and Col should only keep JonahP and maybe jcrueL. Other than those teams, I don't see many changes that need to be made imo.

TenZ is easily a top 2 player in the world with Mwzera. Do you want to give a reason or argument for why he isn't? Because he has insane stats to back him up, and even after returning from a break that lasted multiple months, he dominated at Masters with Sen... I don't even watch twitch(except to watch Valorant tournaments) and I've never watched any of TenZ's YT vids and Sen is one of my least favorite teams so I'm not just some fanboy either. All I want is a good argument for why TenZ isn't at least a top 2 player in the World and who would be above him.

posted about 3 years ago

yeah Payen has always been the weakest link by far on every team he's played on(he played on MMG before Ghost) so unless he is the IGL, then I agree and even if he is the IGL, there should be better available.

posted about 3 years ago

Can't tell if this is a joke or not but these guys are the ex-Dig lineup

posted about 3 years ago

Without NaturE and with TSM having Brax, I think TSM win this 2-1 but it still should be close since Rossy is a beast.

posted about 3 years ago

IMT put Stani on jett lmao. Idk what they were thinking but it clearly didn't work

posted about 3 years ago

did you expect the best OCE team to beat the best team in NA? Map 1 was very close and there's still 2 maps left and even if they lose map 2, as long as they keep it close, then this would be a good showing from Soniqs

posted about 3 years ago

Damn so you think the IBP guys should've never had a 2nd chance?

posted about 3 years ago

HiKo is definitely not 300 pounds... He definitely was a couple years ago but is not now. And what's wrong with being fat anyways :(

posted about 3 years ago

1 map being close doesn't mean they barely beat them in the series... Soniqs rolled C9W on the 1st map so the series as a whole wasn't very close

posted about 3 years ago

Idk if I'm missing a joke or not but Victor is food

posted about 3 years ago

IMT 2-0 with 1 map going to OT

posted about 3 years ago

FaZe 2-0 or maybe 2-1 if they fuck around to much on the 2nd map

posted about 3 years ago

Andbox 2-1 but this is another very close series

posted about 3 years ago

Sen 2-0 and the maps will be like 13-9 and 13-7 I think. Definitely the most interesting game of this round

posted about 3 years ago

Should be a close series especially since they both have some new additions. Beastcoast is playing with supamen and BBG are now playing with poach and rarkar. I think BBG take this 2-1 but it can definitely go either way.

posted about 3 years ago

Spot Up doesn't have Kanpeki so they have no shot. XSET 2-0

posted about 3 years ago

NRG 2-0 but both maps will be close. I say 13-8 and 13-11. SSG's new roster is looking nice but NRG has a top 5 team in terms of individual skill(in NA). Should be a good one to watch so hopefully it is streamed
