No man, that only started during lock//in. Before that most people said NAVI was better. Boaster is not the best smoker in EMEA even now. Suygetsu was rated above Alfajer back then. Shao was rated above Leo.

Derke was considered to be the best duelist in EMEA. Chronicle was considered to be a top flex.

Once Fnatic started beating teams in Lock//In, people started calling them a super team and a ton of fans switched over to Fnatic.

They should have beat BLG. You are asking for a different group, not an easier group. Their group was easy enough, not like NAVI, DRX, Loud in one group.

I was saying this during Tokyo, though. Fnatic seems to think that it takes 2 months to cook up comps, but teams like EG, Loud, PRX are doing it in weeks.

We don't know what will happen next year. They have the players and firepower. They will be back if they get a great IGL and play differently. I think getting a good IGL instead of Marved and putting Pancada back on smokes might work.

I just saw the OT rounds, and EG looked better in those 2 rounds. Loud kinda threw by peeking 1 by 1 out of heaven in the first OT round.

He can win if he plays with a good IGL. I am not a fan of his IGLing. He has the mechanics to win though.

I used to feel that Boaster tends to fall under pressure while losing. But if you watched Ascent today, something seemed to have changed in Boaster. I have never seen him like that while losing against a good team like Loud. He was positive and started playing more aggressively. He also started fragging at the same time. Fnatic started playing more confidently and more aggressively, too. Something changed in him today. He carried it on toward the first few rounds of Haven, but they seemed to just lose it after some crucial round losses on Haven. The full stick defuse and TuyZ 1v3 for example.

I honestly think they should have played Pearl in the EMEA league groups after securing the first spot. It wouldn't have made a difference even if they lost 1 or 2 games, they'd still have been 1st in groups.

I felt like EG looked better so far. Loud seemed to have done a lot of prep on Fnatic but not as much on teams like DRX, EDG, and PRX. We don't know if they have prepped against EG as much as they have against Fnatic. If Loud plays like they did against DRX or EDG, EG will win cleanly.

Loud definitely had better reads and prep both the times they played in Champs. Fnatic is also at fault here for playing the same way from the start of the EMEA league to the end of the season and making it easier for teams to study them. Fnatic can do much better if they become more flexible in terms of comps, pacing, and style. Loud, PRX, and EG look more flexible. I am guessing that Fnatic will look great again at the start of 2024. But they need some flexibility to maintain it till the season ends.

Well, it doesn't make any sense to call NA a 1 team region during Tokyo. I only heard of NA being called a 1 team region after NRG's group exit. Maybe it's because I wasn't reading all the vlr posts back then.

This game probably won't have such a team, or it's very less likely and will take a few years. The meta keeps changing. New agents keep getting added. CSGO doesn't have as much stuff changing as Valorant.

PRX is the team that had issues out of their control. DRX and Loud messed up themselves. I am not trying to hate. Just saying there's a difference. I can claim that Fnatic was just burnt out or some other excuse and say that whoever wins Champions is fluking. But we both know that it would be just cope. That's what I am trying to point out about DRX and Loud in Tokyo.
