SEA/SA teams prob can go toe-to-toe with the Non-God Tier EU/NA teams

Both going up against Decent Japanese teams. No ping issues. If they get crushed tomorrow Korea was just another Top-Heavy region. VS & NU are amazing but the rest are still playing catch-up.

Really hope DWG vs GE was heavily influenced by ping. Only time will tell.

Nah. Watching NU play made me realize that Ping(+tilting b/c ping) is a massive factor in these "Upsets." Korea has fantastic internet coverage. They never have to deal with 80+ping problems in Korea.

Were they good? ABSOLUTELY. Their util coordination was fantastic. I still think their Breach player is amazing. Skrossi is still decent, but not a tier 1 Jett.

Do I think they would beat DWG with 0 ping? Hell no. I think they would lose 2-0. I also think NU would roll BOOM if they played on LAN.
They got back onto "Normal" ping and now they're getting clapped. The more I watch, the more I'm starting to think that if your team plays a one-dimensional, relatively "low skill" Valo where you rely on rushing + taking aim duels and can't take map control and use it, you have an (relative)advantage with high ping. They were catching DWG out so much with Recon, Faultline, Flashes b/c 80 ping makes them near impossible to dodge. Same with NU.
Side note: BOOM had some really cool plays on Bind with Viper util and catching teams off-guard when they were vulnerable.

Looking back on it now, I think you can't blame a team for not practicing enough with high ping when most of the other good teams they will go up against are on low ping.

Might be a React Andy take but after watching NU play, I'm sure that DWG/NU would have performed WAY better if they both had low ping.

I'm genuinely excited to see more of Hellranger. With the way he has been playing, he's shaping up to be one of my favorite players to watch. Breach is so fucking fun to watch when it's done well.

Rule of thumb: If someone is popping off in a region, whether the region is good or bad, they can and will show up during international matches. Has been proven by multiple players, namely Forsaken, Patiphan, and Skrossi.
These players do have a tendency to "limit test" and overextend in official matches, which probably can be fixed in due time. Nothing to worry about IMO.

The impact of ping was definitely felt. Unless everyone had an off day, the recons arrows were NOT getting popped fast enough. Not something I would expect in a pro game. Same with dodging some flashes and ect(Mostly minor things). And I'm cautious to say this, but DWG definitely had a bit of a disadvantage here. GE look pretty fucking clean with their breach util(From the little I've seen at least. I really need to finish math but Breach on Ascent piqued my interest). Might be one of the best teams in terms of utilizing breach. This is papa Shinobi coming in huge I'm assuming.

The founding fathers of breach(VS) stopped using him on Ascent a quite some time ago, same with NU so it was interesting to see that he was still viable there. Breach was forcing Texture to use dash to get out trouble so often. And their coordination when using Rolling Thunder was on point. I was surprised at how many stuns they were able to get with his ult. Usually Korean teams play against Breach so often that they will evacuate a site before they even use Ult, but DWG got caught so many times. Maybe a side effect of not playing against him on Ascent.

Kinda hot take(especially considering I haven't watched the full match), but I think Hellranger is the MVP of today's match and is the key player for this team. He has this Stax vibe to him - He knows ins and outs of Breach's kit, and can coordinate his team around him super well. You watch him play and you can immediately tell that he's been putting work into his Breach. Would be the player I'd look out for during their later games.

P.S. People who've seen the full game, how was Hellranger's Astra looking like on map 3? How did Kappa's Breach compare to Hellranger's?

Nerf her? Yes. But don't destroy her dash. Tune it down, sure. But don't make it a joke on an ability. It's what makes her unique. It's one of the major things that keeps this game from becoming a CS copy but with flashier abilities.

I personally think this was enough for Ranked(maybe a TAD bit more?), even though it might not change much in the Pro Scene. The right click was made for ranked. If they want to make a dent in the pro scene, they should change another part of her kit, and not her right click.
