Sentinels is one of the teams right now in VCT

A relegation like the Prem could be nice. Bottom 4 teams of the T-1 scene fight against the top 4 teams of the T-2 scene to keep their spots at the top or get promoted. Or they just entirely get demoted.

The prowler ability does near sighting so that counts as a flash ig

This passive could be a bit too OP but giving phoenix a stim boost (speed and rate of fire) in his ult could be a bit more balanced.

id say rework his flashes entirely, his flash is very weak in long range and it just going around a corner is very weak compared to kay/o, skye and now fade's flashes. IMO Omen and even Reyna have much more effective flashes than phoenix, so the only way to improve them is through reworking.

how would you do it?

I can't decide between the two, they've just been so much fun to watch and its painful knowing this is it for one of them. But Zeta 2-1, Laz with a shorty undefeated.

dk if this is a bait or not, but didn't that Bren roster get acquired by Team Secret and get 13-0'd by Gambit at champions?

for some reason boaster is getting disrespect as an IGL as well which I don't get

They could do a round robin format or whatever its called. Its basically the format used in Six Invitational 2022 and it is one of the better formats for Esports I'd say. And the top seeded team from the group was given an advantage where they wouldn't have to play the first round of playoffs and would move onto the second, but I'm not sure exactly how many teams were given that boost. The points for playoffs qualifications were a oretty good scoring system as well and I think they should introduce it for future events in Val.

So recently in an interview FNS mentioned that the 1st place playoff confirmed was complete BS and even if Optic got it they'd still be pretty unhappy. 4 games into the playoffs, the top seeds from NA and SEA, the two teams being the Guard and Paper Rex, are already in the lower bracket where they played each other and only one of them won, the winner was Paper Rex.

Now, this being Guard's first LAN, we can make an exception as they lack experience on LAN, but I think FNS was right. If teams were given an opportunity to battle it out against each other in groups instead of getting a free ticket to playoffs, newer teams could have gained experience and gotten used to or readjusted to the LAN environment, instead of going into their first ever LAN or a LAN tournament in a while with a blind eye, sure the teams do scrim each other but I doubt they use an offline server for that. Anyways that's just my take on what FNS said and it probably being a reason for the Guard's premature elimination. What do you think? Comment your thoughts below.

Edit: Do you guys think the Val esports organizers should adopt a Round-Robin format tournament for non-riot events or even riot events in the future? To me it seems like the best format for most Esports in general and using a points system like the Six Invitational 2022 might just be great as well. The SI 2022 format also had teams placed 1st from groups advance into the 2nd round of playoffs automatically where as the 2nd and 3rd would have to play in the 1st round and the 4th seeded teams would go into the lower bracket

g2/penta in rainbow six dominated for around 3-4 years what are you on lol

Fnatic have gone undefeated, Gambit/M3 Champs are back and so is nAts, FPX are on top in their group (I think it's fairly tougher than the group Fnatic are in right now), Liquid look a bit out of shape but will probably return to form soon and Acend are out of contention from playoffs.

Who do you think is the strongest/best team in EU right now and which of them do you have making it to Iceland?

I think Fnatic are the strongest in EU rn (a bit biased). The Braveaf acquisition was good, I think it allows Boaster a lot more freedom as an IGL and for strategizing, and Derke seems to be making the case for Top 5 pro duelist players in EU. But that's just my opinion. Besides Fnatic, I think Gambit/M3 Champs or Liquid could make it to Iceland.

What if...

  • drop Dapr, Zombs, TenZ
  • add Marved (Smokes), Mitch (Sentinel), Trent/Xeppaa/Subroza (Initiator/Duelist/Flex)
  • move Sick to duelist/Shahz and Sick change between playing duelist

Thoughts? Braindead or good?

I mean to say in the sense of instilling false hope, if you get what I mean. Sort of like saying, "We are still the best in the world and we'll win it all", after their recent performances. It counts a bit more as delusional maybe idk

I hate Germany for taking away Messi's chance in 2014, but no, I'd say that's more superstition and the champions curse, they are still one of the strongest football teams in Europe
And over here, I mean to say in the sense of instilling false hope, if you get what I mean. Sort of like saying, "We are still the best in the world and we'll win it all", after their recent performances.

I'd say him and Sick are two of the more, consistent players on the team (as of recent Zombs could be included as well, but that's just my opinion)
I like Shahz, wholesome nice dude, but he has a bit of an ego as well/persistence to change. Of course he replies to the criticism or takes from his chat in the manner he does, because lets be honest, most of them, including me, are pretty low rank and probably don't have a good idea of how things play out in pro play. But some guys have mentioned in this thread, if they change their mentality they can improve, but I doubt with the kind of ego he has, he may be persistent to change and it could probably hurt the team.

You guys think SEN would get any stronger if miraculously IDK, they just replaced zombs with Marved.

"Man, we fell off" - Maxmoefoe on Cold Ones

But fr, ShahZam keeps saying "we'll fix" it and the team just does the same thing again every game. SEN's aggression and other teams' lack of strats during Iceland were probably the only reason SEN won.

Do you guys see them making a strong comeback or do they continue falling from grace?

Vanity, V1, Fnatic, maybe TL, Vikings and KRU. Not sure about BR/LATAM, KR and APAC teams, don't follow/watch their games. C9, Gambit, FPX and Guard also have a chance of being newcomers.

I think he played Sova on Haven during one of the qualifiers, wasn't bad.

posted about 2 years ago

I was unsure of what role he should play with BabyJ taking up the sentinel slot as he mainly plays chamber now, maybe he could play the Sova

posted about 2 years ago

IDK but judging from their recent play in tournaments I feel building the team around Wardell has been hurting them, and ofc maybe a coaching change could help, but putting Corey on duelist, Roza on initiator/flashes and Rossy on smokes along with BabyJ on sentinel could be pretty good for the next challengers qualifiers imo.

posted about 2 years ago

Which org do you think should try and pick up BabyJ? If I were TSM I'd go for him, building around Rossy, Corey and Roza.

Did you guys see the Invitational and the new changes coming to year 7? What were your thoughts? Also, happy to see my boy Beaulo winning.

heavy copium, but maybe C9 could survive some EU match ups, they are the most disciplined NA team (judging from their play)

It's just my name, but I named my smurf Stewie5k after Stewie2k from CS, I enjoy watching him play both games, funny guy. Also, later I found out that I have the same first name as nAts, so thats kinda cool.

posted about 2 years ago

True, every video game NA has played professionally, they've usually won because they either out aimed or out skilled. I just wanted to piss off the liquid fans a little since a friend of mine is a fan of them.

posted about 2 years ago

If you watched all three maps of SEN vs NRG yesterday, or just watched the highlights, I'm sure you all saw how SEN play post-plant. We all know the "NA overheat" meme and sadly its true for SEN. They just overheat post-plants and will lose post-plant situations like that 3/4 times. SEN's lack of practice and reliance on aggression and aim duels will most likely be their downfall in my opinion, and this is coming from a SEN fan. They have good utililty usage, but not as good as Gambit and Fnatic. (maybe better than Liquid XD)

P.S: Liquid fans, that was a joke at the end
