EZ 2-0 for 100T vs TBD
Happy for Ethan to get on a team but wouldn’t have expected android to be the person on this roster to make space
I like it honestly, requires jett to have to anticipate needing to dash rather than doing it reactively. I think that is where it needed to be
These moves have restored my hopium tank
Pain. Only pain.
BUMP
100T sadge
Facts. I am of the thought process that they should rebuild around ethan and asuna as it stands. I have been a 100T fan since Hiko announced on stream during the beta that he was joining, even before the PubG guys got signed. Unfortunately, this team is simply not going to be able to be a VCT contender. Might as well do it now and try to salvage challengers 2 or else they are gonna throw away the whole season
Yeah I wonder how that would work. Like if they qualify for Iceland would they even be able to go you think?
:)
Wait what happened to Stasis?
I'm gonna be down bad if we give up more than like 10 rounds
ive never met a 50 year old that uses emojis and types out "SHEEESH" idk
I am happy about this, punishing the players for actions at the top of their government accomplishes nothing
pain.
I would bet that within a week or two there are gonna be 3 more open slots on 100T sadge
I’m speechless
Couldn’t agree more tbh
If 100T actually gets Cned (which I still dont believe), think it would take a lot of the pressure off of Asuna and he would be much more likely to put some non duelist agents into his agent pool
We remember but we try to forget. Those were tough days
We knew it was coming, but damn, hate this. Really liked nitro but if he thinks CSGO is better for him, can't be mad about that. GLHF sir you will be missed
no teams but holy you actually nailed both scores
thanks, couldnt remember if they had actually changed it for Champions, or if I read something on here where someone was saying they should change it. I understand the appeal, double elim = more matches but playoffs are supposed to be just a win or go home type of thing in my head
Are the playoffs for this tournament single elimination again or did they do double elimination this time around?
I don't think that this is going to reduce smurfing as much as they think. If someone (we will say plat 2) was trying to boost someone (their Silver 1 friend), why would they use their main to boost them in a 5 stack with harder overall elo and longer queue times? They wouldn't want to risk their main's elo with their silver friends, even if the RR at risk is reduced. Idk seems like something that makes sense in theory but in practice won't really have the effect that they wanted
Didn't think about that, Asuna icebox ropes for sure
Pretty much always initiator if I can
Sova (main since Beta)
Skye (Split and Fracture only)
If not,
Sage/jett/omen, but much prefer initiators above
I laughed so hard when he said that lmao
I just don’t understand how this guy is on the roster, it’s like he thinks he’s just playing ranked
biased but feel like V1 beating XSET is way more likely than Rise beating 100T. Think that the 2 week break really plays to 100T's favor as it allowed more time to practice together as well as giving them time to potentially change up some of the strats that they showed on LCQ day 1. Hopefully I don't eat these words tonight
100T 2-0 hopium
Oof
Did it get buffed recently?
I am behind on my patch notes but feel like I have been seeing lots of pro players use it more often when they are streaming. I know it is just comp and they could be trolling but just seems random that it is being used more often
Role: info
Fav Agent: Sova and skye
Rank: Plat 1
Fav Map: Ascent
For right now at least:
1) Ascent
2) Bind
3) Fracture
4) Haven
5) Icebox
6) Split
7) Breeze
That's a good point, probably can't fully change their playstyles but I do think they could tweak things enough that it might throw people off idk
I agree but judging by comments on some other threads, some people think they should've and I wanted to understand why they thought that more. Wondering if it was just my 100T bias that made me think they shouldn't haha
Wanna get y'all's opinion on this because I am torn on what I think, I see arguments either way
For Restarting: This one is kinda obvious, the whole setup of NA LCQ has changed from an online LAN (lol) to completely online. By the time things restart, there will have been like 2 weeks in between the first 3 matches on the first day to the first 3 matches for the bottom half. I think you could consider this an unfair advantage. 100T came in and showed how they were playing their map pool for 2 bo3 that each went the distance. Now they have had 2 weeks and could show up and play things much differently with so much time to prepare, whereas, they will get to see their opponents go through the first 2 rounds back-to-back before upper finals. Also, could completely restarting have allowed the OCE teams time to come to the US and setup somewhere and be able to compete? Genuinely don't know how all of that stuff works with visas and covid but I hate that those guys had their opportunity taken away from them.
Against restarting: All of the teams that played in the first day were all playing in the exact same conditions as each other so I think the results are valid results. It would have kinda been unfair to 100T to have had to restart since they had already made the upper bracket finals and the tournament had to be put on pause by something that was completely out of their control (on the other side of the bracket even). In my mind, it would've been one thing if it was someone on their team that was the reason the tournament got suspended, but don't see the argument for punishing them for something that was out of their control.
Really interesting, thanks for posting this
I think that's just the problem -- he was ACCUSED of sexual assault. I don't think that it is Riot's place to act like a courtroom and use this as conclusive evidence when no investigation was able to reach the same conclusion. Now, if there is a investigation that finds him guilty, I'm all for a lifetime ban, but until then, it isn't Riot's place. Frankly, I'm a 100T fan, don't really have a dog in this fight. Just don't agree with all of the cancel culture bullshit that's so prevalent today that someone can wake up one day and accuse someone of something and that's that - career over, no investigation needed. fundamentally do not agree with that
The Steel "subsititute" is a contractual term, he is done with 100T (for better or worse, honestly not sure yet), I am still not sure how I feel about the move. I think that the people calling the shots have probably realized how much not having a jett op has hurt them, considering they often struggle against teams that use one (see: Envy, Sentinels, Gambit, Acend). Steel is known for a slow and methodical IGL style which definitely pairs better with a single duelist comp with more support. Letting Nitr0 take over IGL duties will allow them to use a more aggressive playstyle, as well as free up a roster place for someone else to come in and revise the overall team comp (potentially implementing 2 duelist comp on more maps). Eager to see how this all plays out in LCQ because I really do think it could work, but one thing I do know is that this is a very ballsy "all-in" move so close to LCQ
Alright this actually made me laugh
Do we know where the NA LAN is gonna be held for LCQ?
GGWP gambit, 100T beat them, but whew, did not want to play them in a BO5 (I fear it would've been the same result that Envy got). For someone who doesn't watch a ton of non-NA valorant, really enjoyed watching Gambit and other international teams play during Berlin. Looking forward to Champions
