It's not a fluke but the competition was certainly very less since all the 4 players (except zombs) had cs experience. Then they got tenz who was like very good at the moment. Considering Shazam having lan experience and dapr and sick literally playing in the same team and having lan experience on top of that as well. Liquid wasn't that good at that moment, fnatic had only 2 players with cs experience. The rest of regions weren't as competitive except Korea. So yeah it's pretty easy to breeze through a tournament of 8 teams? Who have less experience. And if you don't agree with this you can see why sentinels fell off later when EMEA took out their big guns. Sentinels have never been the same again

1 fpx looked really good and they couldn't make it because of 2 Russians in their team
2 Gambit looked really good but after that overtime loss , they went ahead and lost in the lower bracket too but realistically even if they had won, they wouldn't make it either
3 acend has some internal issues going on, bonecold has been dropped and zeek is really going through mental problems rn

4. Fnatic looked really good as well since they got braveaf and since braveaf is Russian and his pro war comments and derke getting covid just ended fnatic looking weak (rly sad)
5. G2 struggled with their roster too but in the end they pulled it through
