Could be due to many things. The Champs song wasn't as good, the atmosphere was lacking this year too, and if you are in the west you didn't get to see as many reactions on vlr/twitter live like in previous years as a lot of people weren't willing to wake up at 3/4 a.m. to watch the games.

It also depends on ur playstyle. You can be a great player for your util and game sense while also using guns like the odin, phantom or shotguns. Some people do like to keep it clean with just headshots which does increase hs% while others are down to play around smokes, vision blocks, molly's and spamming which does decrease hs%

Yeah I think the current system is fine as is, this guy is bitching because his team lost but I've seen games where the team through upper bracket gets straight up a map/game advantage and start the series 1-0 or even where the lowers team has to beat the upper team twice in 2 Bo3 series on the same day, which in my opinion is insane.
That seems more reasonable, but I guess it depends on each case scenario.
Teams with a wide map pool don't mind the map ban advantage thing as much, while it would really affect those with a slim map pool. In this case the maps chosen weren't even bad for TH so idk why this guy is complaining.
You would have to ask each coach on what they'd prefer. Either giving up a map for the oponent to veto, or have equal map bans, but get half the input from the coach throughout all 5 possible maps.
Feels like that's more punishing that the map ban thing, no timeouts in a Bo5 would require the team in lowers to prepare for any and everything since they wouldn't be able to get input from their coach throughout the whole series.
