Well as an Australian, I have an ungodly bias towards fpx, so that might taint things, but secondly, watching it, it seemed like they really did care about the Cn teams placements, they just had no idea how good they were, and that’s what annoys me

These guys at this point must be trying to avoid looking at anything Chinese Valorant related because it seems that week in week out they know nothing about the scene outside of Edward Gaming.
They’re live currently and doing a tier-list of all 44 franchised teams. In which saw them fumble around the Cn teams. Anyone who watched Cn val in 2023 understood there were 4 consensus top teams (edg, fpx, ra/jdg, te). Yet in their ranking they put blg and drg above fpx because I’m assuming the only Cn val they saw was ascension, a quick vlr search would show you the current standings of the Cn teams.
They even had a ranking from a guide to follow which had fpx in s Tier, yet they kept fpx in C. I assume the think it’s the same team from which they saw at champs cause they wouldn’t know any better.

This is long so I’ll put a tldr: why rank the Chinese teams, when you clearly don’t have any knowledge on them, or who’s on them, you just end up doing silly things.
And if you’re doing a tier list, do some research into the more unknown teams

What previous tournament are you talking about? Ascension? Where they beat dplus as an unsigned team and btw might have beat scars too if they weren’t playing at 2am Thai time which was like 5-6 am oce team (it was the first day of the tournament)

As the only unsigned team there, that’s further than everyone thought

honestly id argue that apex and csgo are both bigger than val here, probably rocket league as well, and fair enough

we are better than the sa region and i will stand by that any day

that and, the 10 orgs chosen were wise on riot's end, like despite our size our population is still small, and bigger countries population wise like the Philippines and Thailand only got one org, same with Indonesia, and India. We just fell outside the 10 and that our only possible org (order) pulled out right before franchising due to bankruptcy

we dont, riot just watched our region just shrivel up and did nothing about it, honestly grouping us with asia and then forgetting we exist in that league when we have players all around the world killed the oce region.
even with casting talent like conky and komodo, who are a lot more entertaining than many other pacific casting, just got no opportunities from riot

i have been saying this for ages, like literally ages.
i feel as if we arent really connected to the apac league as it is more of an asia league, without china. if riot would just allow us to not be imports in the leagues then the scene might grow and revive itself, otherwise besides autumn (who is in china and is an import) and plixx (who is in china and is an import) we have nothing else in tier 1, especially in the league we are meant to go for and be apart of
