dont get me wrong i love crashies but is replacing xeppaa (who has extremely good chemistry with their existing duelist) with someone who is a slight upgrade actually worth it? i dont think so

the one argument i can see being made is crashies is much more proven in high leverage situations while xeppaa is off season lebron james

part of being a good team is playing the meta better than others, and edg played around their neon a lot better than heretics did. and even on their non neon maps they looks 10x more comfortable with their comps than other teams.

there is no shame in using the meta to your advantage, especially when you have the support to do it better than everyone else.

neon is considered a staple in sunset comps now, you cannot shit on edg for realizing that earlier than everyone else

i dont think their are enough options for flash initiator that are clear upgrades from xeppaa to justify letting him go

i think they were the better team but edg had a much better grasp of the meta and had insane momentum. dont get me wrong edg is an insane team but it reminds me of optics trophy. loud was undisputed the best team that szn but optic understood and played the meta a lot better and a lot earlier than everyone else

any t2 team that is used to competing and whos mental wont shatter. the stakes were lower for them and they are full trolling so they stomped open quals but the second they face a team whos used to competing they will definitely struggle

if they get a group without moist/turtle/tsm i can see a world where they make it but otherwise it will be very hard

optic was the best team in the world during that event and i dont think there is any arguing that. yeah chet and yay have their issues now but chet had a understanding of the meta no one else did and yay was by far the best chamber

they played against chamber and played with chamber better than anyone else and fpx in their state even if they were at that event wouldnt have been able to beat them
