yes, minor regions did well so it isn't just about eu/na/kr match ups.

yes SEN have strats but tbh there is a few top teams that are better than them at strats like vs
the strat they have are not the better strats but the individual strengths helped them to overcome it

imo only scrimbit and 100t is able to win against VS
VS is too disciplined to lose many rounds to insane individual plays by teams like SEN

CR could take a map if they really were saving strats against gambit
It is possible because it is obvious you can't beat gambit and 100t at the same time, so it is better to save strat beat one of them (with some luck of course)

kr is no longer a minor region after the acend game

just make Latam and br 1 region and give 3 spots
