What I'm just tryna say is what neilzinho said that they in particular stood out to them among all their scrim partners (I'm only saying this from memory but I think he said they scrimmed several CN + PAC tier 2 teams, and SPG were the one of the few that really stood out)

If people are really putting them over T1, GENG and PRX, then yeah I agree they're being overrated but otherwise I don't think so, they can realistically place anywhere from 4th - 8th imo

we had this amazing arena in EMEA for 1 year, but they downgraded to the Riot games arena because it's cheaper
The only thing I do really like is the new Champs walkouts, they're very good (not as good as the 2022 walkout, but still very good) What they did in 2024 with incorporating it in to the song was also really great, I hope they do that again
The only other new walkout I liked was Tokyo with the boxing style of walkout, but I'd still prefer the older style with the massive screens

The international stages now are just some elevated makeshift metal platform, so the lighting they can do is very limited, I really hope they move to locations where they have screens on the floor and the walls so they can do sick walkouts

you have to consider the sheer cost of flying, housing and feeding 32 teams (224 people minimum when you only consider a team of 5, a sub and a manager)
(even as a FNC fan, who would've been happy if they won more money, I think it's understandable)
Also the prizepool (unless its absolutely insane, like I'm talking millions for #1) isn't as big of a motivator.
