If they go out today do you think they should make changes?
Or do you think it would be an overreaction

posted 5 months ago

its possible
although I want them to go

posted 5 months ago

I don’t fw it
No reason to get rid of kaajak, why would johnqt leave sen and there’s plenty of tier 2 talent in EMEA assuming Leo isn’t coming back

that stuff is crazy, i'd never condone it
i'm talking more about him as an actual coach, i really wasnt a fan of the direction he led NRG 2024 in, he just looked lost without FNS imo (yeah, I can defo understand that some things were beyond his control, but I don't think he's infallible either)

is it bad if i say i dont want chet

what I want: either doombros or milan

but this makes me happy as a fan of the team

foreign pro players often say the same thing when there's internationals in EMEA
pretty much every clip I've seen says the state of EU ranked is the worst.
Watching NA ranked actually makes the game look kind of fun to play, but watching EU ranked doesn't give nearly the same impression

posted 5 months ago

never understood the hate tbh
If people don't like his tiktok dances or kpop stuff, absolutely fine. I'm not into that stuff either, but I still like him as a player and IGL

but I genuinely don't get people who actively pray on his downfall because of that stuff

posted 5 months ago

yeah man... I was not expecting the show to hit that hard

it came so out of left field, even though you knew it was gonna happen the whole time

I can't really give a tldr on the show as a whole but I'll try sum up why the ending made me feel the way it did, I highly recommend you watch it (if you can bear with Sheldon for more than an episode). If you do decide to watch it don't click on this spoiler.

Basically, Sheldon's dad died. We knew this years ago from the technical prequel the big bang theory, and it had been hinted at throughout young Sheldon too. But honestly it reminded me how frail life really is, his dad was a hard working man and a good father, he constantly made selfless sacrifices for his own family, he knew when to have his children's back and was all in all a good man. Just when life started going perfectly, he died. His dream was to coach college (American) football, and just before the last episode he finally got a job offer to move to Houston for his dream job. He had one previously in the series iirc, but he turned it down for his family. This time it would've been perfect, his eldest son was becoming responsible and was raising a child, Sheldon was moving across the country to pursue higher education and his daughter was starting high school, so it was the perfect time to move. They'd also just recovered from a storm which wrecked havoc on his mother in laws house. What finally broke me was the funeral, I gotta give so much props to the actress of the mother, I can't do justice to her acting in text, but honestly it's some of the most well performed grieving I've seen.
I think his character and story personally resonates with me too though, (I'll admit this is a bit personal) but my dad is my role model, and he always will be. He works honestly (to the point where it's gotten him in trouble) and so hard, all so I can get a good education and so I don't have to worry about money while I'm studying. He'd never tell me about the hardships he faces but I'd find out indirectly, and it just made me respect him more. When I was watching the last two episodes I couldn't help but draw the resemblance.

Looking back at this you might need a tldr for my tldr but honestly i dont blame you if you dont read allat.

posted 5 months ago

easily my most favourite character in the series

posted 5 months ago

I think playing duelist requires somewhat more mechanical skill than other roles so yeah
I actually really like it when teams who already have a strong duelist pick up tier 2 duelists to convert them in to different roles, I think it's a really solid tactic

I peaked ascendant so maybe my insight isn't the most helpful
but you can pretty much always work on aim, regardless of if it's keeping you in a certain rank it'll benefit you in the long run
game sense is very broad, you gotta get someone higher rank to VOD review you and tell you what you're doing wrong if you wanna improve at it in the most efficient way (ideally you know someone who's higher rank who'll do it for free, a lot of coaching prices are super high)

Yeah, it's anecdotal.
My father was working as a manager on an industrial site, so in his field it is in fact common (as you said) to work those kinds of hours (For American companies).
But this is definitely an American thing, my father has worked in and for: Singaporean companies, Thai companies, British companies and South African companies, none of them demanded what the Americans did.
Again, it's anecdotal but I have family in the states in similar fields who say the same things.

But regardless of my own experiences, it is well documented that American work culture has some deep rooted issues
