It's good that they've changed it, but not foreseeing this is kind of a huge blunder. We've missed out on the 4 opening games now (A few look like bangers from the scorelines)

Some teams (like M8) are using EWC qualifiers as glorified trials, sure it's not inherently an issue but it kind of reinforces what some people are saying about this tournament not being taken seriously by some teams.
+ Even if you don't care about teams like ZETA or DFM, there are fans who'd like to see them play, overall it just leaves a bad taste to see them not participate

12 matches being played in one day is more of a time thing than a resource thing. Unless they have A, B, C and D streams it's not possible to do 12 Bo3's in a day

EMEA Playoffs were scheduled to start when they did, even before the PC issues.

I'd be so down for this but unfortunately idk if I can see it happening at well... the EWC (😭) since it's meant to revolve around the orgs

(Strictly speaking in terms of esports)

1. Qualification games are at a really inconvenient time (in the middle of EMEA playoffs, (I guess you could also blame Riot for the EMEA schedule))
2. Some games can't be streamed due to #1
3. Teams aren't playing with their full rosters or aren't playing at all (LOUD, DFM, ZETA)
4. The group stage of the main event will likely be bo1's as 12 matches have to be played in one day, the main event group stage is really questionably spread out in general to be honest

it definitely looks like it was shoehorned in to the schedule last minute, so hopefully things are smoother for next year

I think the most efficient way to sort it would be something like: VCT Stage 1 Playoffs -> EWC Stage 1 Playoffs -> Masters 2 -> EWC Stage 2 Playoffs -> EWC (If you think there's another order that's better lmk)

Overall I'm happy to have more tier 1 Valorant to watch but it feels like they've really underdelivered this year
