Yeah, Jerrwin is playing like ass right now, but sometimes you’ve got to support your players. Everyone has bad days. Sometimes players have to play agents they aren’t comfortable with because it’s what the team needs

I'm not saying they're perfect players or that they shouldn't be criticized. I just think fans should support their players a little more when things aren't going well instead of immediately turning on them.

SOMETHING from PRX had some of the worst Neon gameplay too. They changed it, adapted, and ended up becoming the best APAC team again.
The same thing could happen with Sentinels. I just don't understand why they aren't trying other agent options.

jerwinn hasn't shown that, he doesn't have that duelist aura of being able to just lift up the team when they need it the most
in his past 10 games, jerwin has had only 2 positive rating series (while i understand rating isn't the best metric, it's still something to consider)
its hardly the sen fans responsibility to act like these players are good when they arent
dephh was too inflexible, a poor fragger and locked the team into terrible roles - syyko forced this and dephh for too long
zellsis was not pulling his weight with the kills, especially when he was on the sentinel role which wouldn't have required him to be too active in calling or util ( although i agree the scapegoating was too much they just had only had enough room for either him or john to have low KDA output but not both of them)
n4rrate was very obviously a cancer to the team and even in this horrid state they benefit massively from not having him - kaplan also sealed his fate with his weird fixation on spending two years trying to "unlock" him which lead him to the bizarre idea of having him on entry rather than zekken
jerrwin, at this moment, for an entry duelist is far far too inconsistent and lacklustre, almost every game the opposing neon is better than him, which is a major problem
there are reasons these players get shit said about them, and its not a fans responsibility to pretend that they are good when they clearly aren't, especially when this stuff is not being said to the player(s) directly. It's a player's job to be able to play agents well in a broken meta lol, they picked jerrwin up because he could supposedly "play any duelist" ffs. you might not like that people are being harsh about players when they are shit but this is what "supporting" looks like - the real people you and everyone else ought to have a problem with are the ones that bandwagon a new team every event or whenever their old team is shit. but valorant "fans" won't care because they don't have a fucking clue about real fandom in the first place and have no right to try to bother others with their commentary of any teams fans when they've never been loyal or committed themselves.

They aren't really trying new agents on their newer players. Sticking to the same comps and not experimenting with different agent combinations to see if they work better is partly on them too no?

i agree with what you're alluding to which is that there are more problems in the sen team than just "jerrwin bad" I think that ultimately neon is so broken atm theres not a huge gain from playing another agent instead.
do i think they could easily upgrade on him? yes
do i think that will fix their problems? no
i mean if you watch sen and see how shit they are its hardly going to start clicking when they just have a better entry but fans can only complain about what they know or feel is objectively bad
lets see. I think that any way you look at it this team is dead anyway, they aren't going to champs which is fine but i worry about the future planning beyond stage 2 because if they're not going to survive going into kickoff next year they are better off making whatever changes need to be made now
