I don't really know anything about FPS or computers but I don't understand why I can get 300 FPS in the range or in custom games by myself but when a game starts it drops to around 150-180 FPS. Why would playing with others affect my FPS?

I have an actual PC but when im at Collegeim forced to play on my laptop-I dont mind tho since I mostly just play sova and run n gun
Playing at 60 FPS got me too frustrated playing ranked lol I felt like I could get out of plat hell if I had better equipment
nope nothing you can do, the more things on your screen to tank your cpu the less fps you have. thats why graphic intense games tend to have very bad fps for bad pcs
Just a normal thing. You also have more fps in the range
Its really just what Aayan said
its not even necessarily that theres more players, bc your client doesnt know where all the players in the game are, its literally just bc the range is a much smaller map than any real map
bc your client doesnt know where all the players in the game are
does your client not know that?
thats how cheats work no
Thats a way cheats can work, but devs know that so they make it so that only the server knows where players are and doesn't tell your client until you can see a player. However, cheat devs are smart too so they find ways around that
get a better cpu
Ryzen 5000 or better or intel 12th gen or better for 200+fps
beyond it being CPU related (which is largely is as others have pointed out) drop your graphics settings too tbh if you haven't already, i was playing on the highest for a long time and had the same thing but lower graphics settings actually equalised the FPS difference more and also got rid of lag spikes for me
dam 150? back in my day i would drop from 20 fps to 0.5 fps at times (no that's not an exaggeration no it was not playable)
