does discord affect valorant fps ?

not really i play with potato and still getting around 130 with discord and 145-160 with discord of
i get around 60 noramlly , so will discord have an impact on my 5yo laptop
slight impact probably -10 fps or something. i used to play on a horrible laptop, which gave me around ~25 fps without discord, with discord ~13 fps
Yes it does for me. I close the window, but keep it open on the background.
discord is really no different than having another browser open, so if you close your browser before you boot up the game, you should do the same for discord
idk how many resources the overlay takes but i usually disable it anyways but i find it useless
My potato laptop demands me to end Discord in the task manager and any other apps.
discord really eats up my fps i get 120 - 144 normally but with discord on it goes till 80-90
