They plan to tryout Meddo
Davidp has been asking to be tried out

In no way is it implied that both of them will be joining the roster, although it is likely that Meddo will join.

Read the article, it says sources close to the deal confirm that part, its basically a report.

To that end, a new lineup could be in the works that includes Meddo and Davidp as possible contenders for filling out pipsoN’s core that now contains Happy and Boo, according to sources close to the deal.

It adds nothing to what the leaked conversation suggests, it's extremely vague. I don't see how this is a "report" especially as it was written right after the pic was leaked.
