Why are they so bad?
I'm watching the stream for OOW vs GA and these guys are NA-Plat or EU-Gold at best. Their aim is inconsistent and they constantly make mistakes like forgetting to put a trap down c long(haven) which leads to someone pushing but whiffing.

*Hong Kong/Taiwan. Chinese Valorant is a different beast altogether. I've always had some reservations about HK/TW. From my observation, they barely have any consistency in their roster, especially during last year. Seems like they're slowly fixing it, but it's always been known that HK/TW is practically the weakest amongst SEA.

must be some Mickey tourney, I watched Edward Gaming and they were pretty decent. But they are also newer to the game as a region, would make sense if they are a bit behind.

also keep in mind Chinas ban on gaming for under 18s, they can only play on weekends and holidays for 1 hour a day. This will also lag the scene

hong kong and taiwan are both china -- most of the teams have chinese-flagged players also. I don't see a VCT specifically for mainland china.

Hong Kong/Taiwan. There's a reason it's separated. Riot has been separating the region into its own, considering the differences with the game (Valorant) not officially being released in mainland China. It started with League's now-defunct LMS (merged with SEA Tour into PCS), continues to Challengers HK/TW, and the WCS Masters in Wild Rift. It's their own thing.

As far as i know this rule doesn't really effective anyway since the kids can just ask their parents or siblings id to play the game lmao. Might effect kids with strict parents though.

not sure its that simple, social credit scores might play into the equation that parents don't want to risk. No expert on the topic though

The intended idea was probably for parents to control their child's gaming addiction so what #17 said makes sense. Nobody gonna affect your credit score for letting your child playing video games. China is not North Korea.

The game hasn't officially launched in Mainland china yet. Those teams that you are talking about are from HK/TW. They are not the representatives of Mainland Chinese.
