Is NA really that good?

yes they won Iceland but in reality I feel like NA is a pretty weak region. They only have 1 good team that can compete internationally,
and the only reason they were able to win Reykjavik 2022 is because the top EMEA teams couldn’t play because of travel restrictions and Covid. So basically Optic had no competition.

also I kinda feel like this run was a bit of a fluke. They lost to Xerxia at the beginning and Loud in the upper finals so they are definitely not as strong as everything thinks but somehow they won it at the end so idk I still think FPX, prime Fnatic and even Gambit are all higher in the rankings than Optic.

I think when everything goes back to normal we will never see NA, Optic and these random teams again. I mean the last time we had everyone competing normally every NA team got grouped and they had no chance

As someone from NA, I think EMEA will still be the slightly better overall region this year, but NA is clearly the 2nd best region and it's not really close.

its not about the region strength its about the strongest team. Optic stated they pract like 6 days a week without barely any break. I know that even in NA Optic and the guard are regarded as the teams with the most practice and hours put in.

I think the competion in NA and Emea are very high compared to other regions.. In some regions they are only a few dominates teams.. That will qualify to every international lan.. But in NA the qualifacations are very hard.. For example C9 amd version 1 they both have what it takes to perform very well in masters.. But they didn't qualify

they arent as bad as people think, some motherfuckers were saying fucking LATAM is better lmao but Optic is 100% not the best team itw, I would bet my house they wouldnt beat a full Fnatic, FPX or Gambit, their gameplay is literally take fights if they win them they are insane if they dont they look like bots like against Acend and Xerxia, not really that good in terms of decision making/playing together as a team + FNS is a fucking dog, they wont beat serious european teams playing with him, its not like he is fucking prime gla1ve either, always has been a mid IGL just shines because there arent actual top IGLs in valorant
