Exactly this, what a W take. People would rather downplay the teams opponents instead of praising those finally showing up. Teams are a lot more even in terms of ability than ever before, but people are still stuck in Reykjavik 2021

like people will say wow zeta are playing great and then think to themselves "how the fuck did they lose to a japanese team" as if they haven't proved they belong in the top4

yes, I was like this when zeta got sklfcked in their first match even as someone who liked previous Japanese teams, but I realize it is just first game jitters. u can never count on first game.

I realize now, that the skill difference between regions and teams are now usually what Tier 2+ is currently. Tier 1 teams of each region are such so good.
